Good product, but didn't come with instructions. After I figured out how to install, they were easy and best feature is the strength as these do not sag like some other rods that have 9 pieces that need to be screwed together.

I read reviews that commented on measurements and difficulties fitting pieces together after securing the plates to the wall. For the easiest installation, first assemble all of the pieces. Put it in place and adjust the width as needed. I used a level to make sure the rods were straight and a pencil to mark the drill holes. I installed two rods in about 15 minutes! NOTE: because of the width of the plates you will need to add your curtains/panels first. Otherwise you will need to disassemble the rod to add them. I’m using clips. If you are using clips please buy the rings that are 1.7” in diameter. A previous review stated that 1.5” rings do not fit over the elbow joint which is key to preventing a gap between the curtains and the window. Product is heavy and looks good. A great value. You will not be disappointed!

This is a really good quality. Heavy duty, made to last. Directions were a little vague, but I managed. It looks great and had lots of rod and screws to mange any size window. I would recommend these.

These do appear very sturdy. I have them up but on one side I had threading issues with the pipe and fitting. I tried every way and it was just a bad thread job. I got it on by using channel locks but really scuffed up the pipe (took the black off). I tried to protect the pipe with rubber but it still took the finish off. I hope it doesn't rust now. I probably should have sent it back but I was eager to get them up.

Love this heavy duty industrial French return rod. The return allows for you to completely blackout your room. The rod is a really solid heavy iron. The black finish is awesome and even with the curtain rings sliding across it constantly there still haven’t been any paint chips. The installation was really easy since everything unscrews from each other. A great value for this quality. I didn’t need to use the center bracket but it comes with one for extra support if your rod is extended to a longer length.

Overall, I am very satified with the 1" Industrial "Look" Curtain Rod. Originally, I went to the "big box" hardware store to purchase plumbing hardware to accomplish the same look myself. The store was out of black 1"x 5ft. plumbing pipe, and I didn't feel like running from store to store looking for all the pieces needed to put it together. I'm soooo thankful the big box store came up short. The curtain rod package came complete and was well packaged. The rod and bracket have a little heft to them, and don't feel as flimsy as some rods I've ordered previously. I'm a bit handy with with tools and measuring, so I had this up within half an hour, and that's while taking my time and watching tv. The main negative would be the supplied screws, which are thin and seem fragile. I used my own screws and the brackets are holding solid against the wall. For reference, I'm using these to hold up (2) 62"x95" heavy duty blackout curtains I also purchased on Amazon. The rod looks great and no complaints so far!
