  • Excellent quality and value!
Style: All-in-One Printer
I bought the Epson EcoTank 2400 yesterday and set it up today. If it continues performing this well for the next ten years, I’ll be very happy with this purchase. I bought it to replace my old Canon MP190. The print quality on the Canon suddenly became very poor, which may honestly have been more of a cartridge issue than a printer issue, but testing that would have been expensive. On top of that, the printer was old enough that modern operating systems no longer support the scanner drivers, so I couldn’t even use the flatbed scanner anymore. At that point, replacing the whole printer made more sense. The ET-2400 is not quite as wide as the MP190 which is a nice plus. The biggest advantage of the EcoTank line is the refillable ink tanks. Printer ink is already expensive, but traditional cartridges also include microchips and hardware that drive the cost even higher. With this printer, I can refill only the specific color I need instead of replacing an entire color cartridge because one channel ran out. I mostly print proxies and alternate art for Magic: The Gathering, so I regularly print nearly full-page, full-color images (eight cards per page). Because of that, image quality matters a lot to me. I also wanted a working flatbed scanner so I could scan my paintings instead of photographing them. I did not use the wireless features. Instead, I connected the printer directly to my computer with a USB cable after downloading Epson’s management software. Setup was straightforward, the software updated itself automatically after asking permission, and my computer recognized the printer immediately. It showed up in Photoshop right away with no issues. The only thing I disliked during setup was that the registration process appears to require opting into marketing emails. I’ll unsubscribe later. Print Quality: Colors are bright and vibrant, blacks are deep and dark, and the images come out crisp and clean. Some reviewers mentioned getting “light gray” blacks, but I haven’t experienced that problem at all. Scanning: The flatbed scanner is slightly too small for a full 9x12 painting, but I expected that and don’t consider it a flaw. The scans came out vibrant, sharp, and detailed. It couldn’t fully capture the shimmer of my metallic paints, but that’s normal — I usually need angled lighting in photographs to show metallic effects accurately anyway. ... show more

  • 🖨️ Excellent print quality for notes, figures, and assignments.
Style: All-in-One Printer
I absolutely love my Epson EcoTank ET-2400! I bought it mainly for nursing school, and it has already made my life so much easier. I print a lot of lecture slides, biology figures, study guides, assignments, and practice questions, so having a reliable printer at home is a huge help. The setup was simple, and I was able to connect it to my phone quickly. The print quality is clear and sharp, which is very important when printing diagrams, charts, and detailed notes. The printer is also compact, so it fits perfectly in a small room without taking up much space. One of my favorite things is the EcoTank system. I don’t have to worry about constantly buying expensive ink cartridges. The ink lasts a very long time, making it a smart and affordable investment for students who print often. I even ordered 500 sheets of paper because I know I will be printing a lot throughout nursing school! This printer is perfect for people who are serious about studying and staying organized. Instead of running to FedEx or the library every time I need to print something, I can do everything from home whenever I want. It saves time, money, and stress. I highly recommend the Epson ET-2400 to nursing students, college students, and anyone who prints notes, homework, or work documents regularly. If you are dedicated to your education and want a dependable, budget-friendly printer, this is definitely a great choice. It has already become one of my favorite purchases, and I know it will support me throughout my journey from CNA to LPN and beyond. 🩺📚🖨️💕 ... show more

  • Don't buy, it's a terrible printer
Style: All-in-One Printer
Don't waste your time or your money, this printer has been nothing but issues. Since we have bought this printer I have spent more time troubleshooting it and clearing paper jams than actually printing. It has never connected correctly to my wife's laptop. Most of the time she could not print from it and when she did manage to print something from it, it didn't print for several minutes and and the print quality was awful. It was more reliable while trying to print from my desktop, but that was after clearing the almost guaranteed paper jam on the first print attempt, and again the print quality was still pretty awful, with no way that i could find to adjust any print settings or calibrate the printer to try to remedy it. The printer also does not have a screen of any kind, which makes trying to figure out what is wrong with it a nightmare based on it's 4 LEDs (5, if you count the power button). It also does not have the ability to print on both sides of the page. In fact, the printing wizard will pop up to tell you that you need to flip the papers to finish the print job. Is it the worst thing in the world? No. Is it really annoying that this $200 printer doesn't have such basic functionally in 2026? Very much so. I am writing this review now, after the printer has officially died after not even a years worth of use. ... show more

  • Very economical on ink.
Style: All-in-One Printer
The software is not real intuitive. Had to get on youtube to figure out how to print the passcode which is not in any paperwork with the printer. That all being said once you figure out all the software and how to use it, its an absolutely great printer. The ink tanks last a very long time even printing high quality photos. So much better than the stuipid expensive cartridges. Its a little slow but I can handle that and put up with it as econonomical as it is on ink! ... show more

  • Saving money and having ink over a year
Style: All-in-One Printer
Working in a printing department. Customers always ask me what printer they should buy since they don't want to spend $$$ on ink. I always tell them the Epson Ecotank and non of them ever come back complaining or returning them unlike other brands/printers. I highly recommend this to teachers or offices if your on a budget. However, I dont recommend you this model if your looking into wanting to print high quality photos for business purposes. If you print a lot, or use double sided prints then its bets to pick an upgraded model or you will struggle with this one. ... show more

  • With Dual Band Router, You must turn off 5MHg and my fix for the envelope feed
Style: All-in-One Printer
My EP-320 Epson printer finally died after thousands of letters and envelopes so I went looking for a new printer and decided on this Epson ET-2400. The instillation of the printer seemed to be going great until I got to the part where it is supposed to connect to my internet. That just wouldn't happen for I finally installed it via a usb cable that I took off of my old printer. My old printer worked great with the USB cable and my wife's computer was able to connect with no problem and I could print with Print N Scan. I got the new printer working on my computer but my wife's computer simply would not connect to the printer. I uninstalled and re-installed the printer 3 or 4 times with no better luck (doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result ............) and after about 4 hours gave up and called my daughter-in-law to see she would have any better luck. She worked on the computer for about 45 minutes and she finally figured out the problem. My EERO router is a dual band router (2.7 MHg and 5 MHg). She temporarily disabled the 5 MHg and it loaded the computer up and connected with the internet without any problems so now my computer and my wife's computer are running on a wireless connection. You would think Epson would include an instruction book that mentions that. So if you have a dual ban router you will need to disable the 5 MHg when you install the printer. So I am happily working along until I need to print an envelope. On my old Epson XP-320 when I printed and envelope I just lined it up on the right side of the paper holder next to the paper guid and it printed fine. On the Epson ET-2400 they want you to remove the paper from the printer and move the guides to fit an envelope and then insert the envelope and print it. That was simply not something I had any inkling to do. I tried to just sort of center the envelope in the printer but that a was a mixed bag and half of the time it didn't feed straight. I mostly use my ink jet printer for letters and envelopes so i decided there must be a better way. To that end I went out to my shop and made an envelope feeder for the computer (see photo). Now when I want to do and envelope I just feed it into the envelope feeder and print the envelope and it comes out perfect every time. When I am loading paper I just flip the guide back. I am actually surprised there is not some after market envelope feeder for the printer. My envelope feeder will certainly save a huge amount of time printing envelopes what with the taking the paper out, adjusting the feeder guides, printing the envelope, readjusting the feeder guides and putting the paper back into the printer.. I love the way the printer works and like the ink bottles rather than the ink cartridges but the installation information sucked and the envelope issue makes me give the printer only 4 stars, though it could just as easily been 3 stars. ... show more

  • Finally a printer sold for the user, not the person who sells ink!!
Style: All-in-One Printer
Independent and Transparent ink refill reservoirs means no more replacing tri-color cartridge when only 1 of three is depleted. Much less ink waste! And you can just look at the printer and know how much ink is left. Brilliant. No more solid black plastic cartridges. Did not need to waste ink on a test page!! wat?! First print was a full multi-color page and didn't see ink get sucked up like a water spout; and it printed really, really fast and great color brilliance and and and... I'm so glad I spent the extra on this for my home use. I might even start printing photos for framing again. Set up was a touch time consuming (30 minutes? ) but very well instructed via the mobile app. Most of the time was just waiting for the ink to get into the printer - I think around 8 minutes?. Typically I hate that everyone wants you to download an app. I think this one was worth it. Fun extra print features. Usually I think all that is really dumb but this stuff is actually useful. ... show more

  • Does not support AirPrint, helpless desk wants $150 to hack your stuff
Style: All-in-One Printer
You have to install an app, mandatory, the set up was easy enough, printing from the app, no problem. Quality is very nice EXCEPT the printer does not support AirPrint option on iPhone. Don’t call the help desk they want to hack your computer and charge you $150 to hack your WiFi network. You can print from an iPhone when in print preview you hit the box with the up arrow and scroll down there is a “print with Epson” option. I totally feel scammed. I cannot recommend this. Might send it back and keep the Cannon that barely works. At least I don’t feel scammed by them ... show more
