These are strong and functional. I feel there is a huge flaw with the design, I guess if it says in the description I missed it? There are two lengths to choose from as it comes. Either the shorter way with both ends together or you can insert the additional center rod to make it longer. Way longer. No adjusting to desired length by expansion. Thankful these worked for my smaller windows but dang what if I needed to install the brackets a tad farther away? Would have had to return these. I am however going to purchase a few more for the rest of the small windows in my home because they did work for us but overall I would of liked to have a choice on how long I wanted it within it’s specs and it be adjustable and not just two options. ... show more

A little shorter than expected, but perfect for a 56" window. The brackets seems strong as does the rod. I got these for my garage windows and they are perfect for the job, look pretty good and the price is great.

Don't be mislead. These rods have two sizes, small & large: nothing in between, it is not telescopic. If one of the two sizes fits your needs, they are beautiful and strong. Unfortunately, they are too large, I just layed them on top of an other rod before actually installing the rod and I was not happy with the length, thus I had to return them. I hope this helps you make a decision. Notice the rod is touching the adjacent wall on the left side. ... show more
