  • Don't buy, will rust in a year.
Color: Hot Sauce Style: Kettle
The media could not be loaded. I boil water about 2 times a week for tea. We got this kettle, and dry it out the best we can after every use. It traps a little bit of water in it that is hard to get out. After a while the cracks in the bottom started to rust. 1 year and a few weeks after buying the kettle I called KitchenAid to see what to do because I was worried about drinking water out of a rusty kettle. All they told me is to throw it away and then they tried to sell me a new one. If you buy a kettle from KitchenAid you will be having to buy a new one every year. Then when I said I didn't want to buy a new one if it will just rust on me, they just said sorry and ended to chat on me. ... show more

  • Great kettle
Color: Empire Red Style: Kettle
I have had this kettle for about 9 month now and I am very satisfied with my purchase. A few reviews were not as great and I was very hesitant to order. It seemed that some people had rust problems after a few month. I leave the lid open to ensure that the moisture can escape after boiling water and I never leave any water in it. The hot kettle dries that way pretty quick and it prevents the rust. It is a smaller kettle and I would say it works perfect for 1-2 people servings. The size is definitely to small for a whole family of tea drinkers :) Update: I am still satisfied with my purchase. The kettle still works and looks like on day one after three years of use. The second picture of the inside is the most recent picture taken. I use it at least once a day. ... show more

Purchased this product in Nov 2016, and it's no longer working after 5 months. I have to push down the kettle to make it connect with the base, and that only works sometimes...

  • I wish it's plastic free
Color: Empire Red Style: Kettle
I usually do not write reviews on Amazon but I was compelled to write this one because there are so many confusing reviews about this product out there. If you are looking for a plastic free electric kettle like me, this is not for you. There are 4 plastic parts inside the pot. ( see pics ) 1. Filter - removable 2. Bigger plastic piece that holds the filter - NOT removable and it comes in contact with water. I live-chatted with customer service and this is their response. "Thank you for waiting. That plastic piece that holds the filter is not removable." 3. Rivet from handle - above the max water level 4. 2 rivets inside of lid I gave 3 stars because it is very stylish and I am sure it works really well, I know because I own several KitchenAid appliances as you can see the built-in KitchenAid oven on my picture background. But sorry I am disappointed and returning this one. ... show more
