This is fantastic especially for the price! I bought the Jet Black shade to use on my dark brown virgin hair (with a few grays). I want my hair to be black but I don't want to cover my grays, so I usually use a semi permanent black dye or gloss. Jet black is a very dark, cool black and is very long lasting. I had a bit of bleeding with the first few washes, but I'm on my third week and my hair still looks just as fresh as it did when I first dyed it!

Kiss Tintation,Semi-Permanent color: GunMetal Gray...a new product to me that was long waited for! However it is no better than a lightweight rinse for white hair at that. My hair is graying on top of my head and I have been using semi-permanent rinses by Jazzing and Clairol to darken my roots. For now, rinses are my preference only because of dollar/ money factor. If I could afford to go to a professional hair colorist I would, but since it is not a one-time thing and requires touch-ups on a regular basis it is out of my spending range right now. So, I am always searching for an effective semi-permanent rinse that goes on and adheres to the hair as represented on the package labeling. Hence, GunMetal Gray says to me "dark gray" and that is what I wanted. It does not state: "bleaching required for successful color results" or anything like that at all. On my un-dyed roots hair I applied as directed, left it on for hours, rinsed, and nothing......nothing....nothing. It did not take. Not in the slightest. Anyone who has a suggestion or recommendation....I'm listening. This hair rinse product is likely to be effective on platinum or light blond hair, but I doubt if it has a level of intensity. I could be wrong. Again, if anyone wants to comment on my experience, please do. Thank you Amazon for supplying this product even though it was not a success event for me personally. BTW...in the 60's Clairol had a product: Glorious Grays....colors: Smoke, Platinum and other titles i can't recall right now. I used "Smoke" on my mother's hair and it was gorgeous! Not on the market anymore :( In the 80's I discovered Jazzing in the color "Taupe Smoke" that I used for myself, and in my dreams I find it again since it is not on the market anymore :( . Maybe Amazon can wave it's magic wand and let Clairol know that they could corner the market today and make a mint if these 2 products were to return. Hint. Thank you Amazon for listening.

I have dark blonde hair and have tried permanent black hair dyes that didn't stick! This one is temporary, but is lasting longer than permanent ones for me. The pic is after 3 washings, and it still looks ok after 1 week. This is great for a temporary color shake up or for costumes/themes.

First let me say I love this product!! The consistency and color is outstanding. I use 2 bottles (long hair) every 4-6 weeks to keep the color fresh. What I don’t like is the packaging!! The bottle is a thick plastic that is super hard to squeeze out the gel like product. Today while trying to squeeze it out the bottle split open with 1/2 the product still inside. It was a nightmare mess and I could not get the rest of the product out. The plastic had jagged edges and purple product all over the place. I had to trash it. I wish they had a plastic tub instead so I could use the brush to scoop it out and use all the product without hurting my hand trying to squeeze out the product from a very hard plastic bottle. Outside of the packaging struggle I love it. But may have to look for another that is better packaged for the task. There’s enough going on while coloring your hair that you shouldn’t have to fight with the bottle wearing gloves that have color on them making them slippery just to get to use the product. And there is no way you can get it all out of that bottle…. I hope they will make the change. I really like how this deep dark purple looks in my hair.

I got this product as a temporary solution, since I don’t have the time or the money to go to my hair stylist currently. I love my hair red but it is a lot to maintain and with my current root growth and color fading I needed something so I can go the next few months not looking like a complete wack-a-doo. This product did exactly as described, I knew that my roots where not going to pick up the color and still would be slightly different shade, but my hair is now similar enough I can go to a job interview and not look silly. The process was easy, the bottle tip made it quite easy to use and distribute throughout. Additionally, there was no burning or bad smell, it actually left my hair pretty soft but that also is due to just going darker. Additionally, the warm brown did the exact outcome I was hoping for on my fading copper. For my hair length, (about to my armpit) it took about half the bottle, which I am quite happy about bc many companies don't give you enough product for even one use. It says to wrap in plastic and apply heat for 15mins but I do not have a blow dryer so I just wrapped in a trash bag and left in for 30mins and it still worked very well! This product is more than worth the price and is a great option for anyone with a budget and looking to not damage their hair extensively.
