The media could not be loaded. It's pretty good. In the yard, I discovered washed-over sprinkler heads as well as a buried cable line. Although the sensor bounces around a lot on metal type and isn't tightly sensitive, it correctly identified a dime approximately 3 inches down and an iron nail just below the surface when scanning around. Wasn't it mistakenly triggering on the minerals in the yard even at the maximum setting? (you can actually see shiny flakes everywhere). It's not too hefty, and the armrest genuinely works. The main zipper on the carrier bag, however, broke on the first usage, which is unfortunate because it would have been useful; I'll have to work harder to push the teeth back into the mechanism. ... show more

On Christmas morning my grandson went out in the backyard to find treasure with it. I had hidden some 40 quartes out there. The unit would light up and show where the quarters were . He loved it! We’ll made and works great. Also the shovel is sturdy. It even worked digging into frozen ground.

After spending several days of searching/reviewing all kinds of metal detectors, from A-Z, this Kentoktool metal detector works pretty good. So good that I tried it out in my own back yard and picked up trash that was left a long time ago. (All was buried 3-4 inches deep. Nothing wrong with the metal detector, it worked great. But I want to warn people who think that these items will detect all kinds of buried treasures, don't forget, it will pick up buried trash just as well. I bought this metal detector mainly because of the easy to read and interpret the display and the different tones it makes which will tell you just what you might be below. ... show more
