  • I love this stroller - And yes
Color: Tropic Style: Baby Trend Navigator Double Jogger Strol...
I love this stroller - And yes, I do use it for jogging. I also own a single Baby Trend jogger. It feels like the double stroller is more than twice the weight of the single, but it's so nice for regular walks with my two boys. It has large tires and front swivel wheels so it's easy to push and makes for a pleasant walk. I always have the front wheels unlocked (so they swivel) when I am walking and I have never had them shake on me, even at a very brisk pace. Although I always prefer to run alone, I do sometimes need to take the boys out with me and this stroller is perfect. You definitely have to LOCK the front wheels so they don't swivel or else the wheels will shake like other reviewers have said. Some have said that the stroller is difficult to turn with the front wheels locked, but I personally don't find that to be the case. I run on a paved inter-city river trail with lots of curves and I am able to turn just fine at a jog just by pushing the stroller in the direction I need to go. Only on the sharpest turns do I need to actually lift up the front wheels in order to make it, and even so, I don't find it terribly difficult to do. And don't think I'm some sort of amazing athlete - I participate in three or four 5k's a year just to motivate myself to get out run once or twice a week, and that's the extent of it. My kids have a combined weight of just over 60 pounds, plus the weight of the stroller, so it's definitely a workout, especially if going up any sort of hill. But if you're reading reviews on a jogging stroller, there are chances that a workout is exactly what you're looking for, right? I was hesitant to pay for the more expensive model of the double jogger, but now I have absolutely no regrets. - The snack trays are indispensible; I like to run early in the morning so once the boys are up I just make sure they're dressed warm enough and put them in the stroller with dry cereal and a drink. They absolutely love eating their breakfast that way. - The individual canopies are a sanity saver for me. The kids are big enough to adjust them how they want them, and there are never fights about one wanting the canopy up and the other wanting it down. - The two front wheels add a lot of stability. One of my sons likes to lean out of the stroller and look behind him which is a big shift in weight. With only one wheel in the center I could see it being a struggle to keep the stroller upright if I'm not anticipating the shift. Plus there is extra room for two sets of feet on the platform. - The bar in the middle completely separates both seats. I read reviews on the less expensive double jogger which said that without the bar their kids rolled towards the middle and towards each other. I don't have that problem with this stroller; there is a nice separation between the two seats that gives both kids some all-important personal space. Like many people have said, this stroller is big and bulky even when folded. It fits in my CR-V though, and I can put it in and take it out just fine although I am only 5' 3" and a lightweight. There are a lot more things that could be discussed and reviewed on this stroller, but since it has a lot of reviews already I don't feel like I need to go into detail about every single feature. I mainly wanted to bring up all the reasons I am so happy with it as well as confirm that I do indeed jog with it (and enjoy it!). ... show more

  • Amazing baby bling.
Color: Tropic Style: Baby Trend Navigator Double Jogger Strol...
The media could not be loaded. I got rid of my Step2 double jogger 6 years ago and have regretted that decision many times. Through 9 kids and 24 years we have owned quite a few strollers (mostly because I like to upgrade like some people upgrade cars). We live on a hill in the middle of Alaska where we do some pretty extreme walking on gravel roads and trails and I wanted something I could use with my littles and my foster kids. This stroller has all the features I was looking for; snack trays to support infant car seats, pneumatic tires for use on our terrain, two seats for kids and/or gear, and big storage baskets underneath and behind. I’m excited about the bonus perk I wasn’t looking for, but now realize is amazing…the double front wheels are exactly what I needed for stability. The skis on the rear wheels are mine, a pretty nice feature when you walk in snow and ice 9 months of the year and they keep the stroller stable when folded (my three year old was climbing on the stroller while it was folded with the skis on and it didn’t even shudder). I should note that it’s stable when folded without the skis too. The cover is mine too, I found it on Amazon (Ezkindheit double stroller rain cover). I like to throw a wool blanket over the whole rig and then secure the rain cover to trap in heat when the temperatures dip below zero. We don’t have wind here, but this help keep little pumpkins warm. This stroller was easy to steer with one hand even with the skis on and handled beautifully on the terrain. When unfolding, there’s a seam where the material meets on the bar between the seats that catches and won’t allow me to unfold until I manually move the seam. Annoying, but just something I have to be aware of. I’m sure this doesn’t happen on every model, mine must have a defect of some sort. The stroller was simple to assemble, I did it myself without the directions in 15 minutes. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver. Today I took this stroller out with my 6 and 3 yr old littles. My 6yr old is pretty big for his age, 60ish pounds and 44” tall. He was on the big side for this, but he easily fit. 😊 I’m looking forward to taking this rig on the trails year round. It’s a beast. To those looking for something light, this is a solid, quality stroller. Not featherweight in any way. It folds amazingly compact and will fit standing upright in the cargo of my 12 passenger van. It won’t fit through a doorway, but I bought it to use outdoors, not through doors. It looks just fine parked in the garage. 😊 ... show more
