I have become a fan of shade sails. They are easy to put up, relatively inexpensive, and permeable. (I had a waterproof sail and the rain would just pool and create bubbles in the sail so I replaced that one with this one). I also have a string of shatterproof lights that I have clipped to the edge of the sail and it works great for reading at night. I'm pleased with this sail so far. I am using it on my deck to both create a shady area to sit in, and to shade the window from the sun in the summer to reduce solar gain (heat). I can take it down in the winter to take advantage of the sun...which is better than a permanent fixture like a covered patio. I haven't been able to pull it super tight because the poles I got are bending and I'm afraid to pull it any tighter...but so far it's doing the job I want. The stitching and hardware seem sturdy so I don't foresee any issues there. Will come back and update if I have any issues. ... show more

This is a great sunshade. It was very easy to hang and is not completely solid, so the wind doesn't catch or tug on it. It has loops on the corners so you can secure it with hardware (not included) to whatever you need. It offers good shade, but doesn't completely block out all the sun, which I like. ... show more
