fantastic for just about all kinds of cooking, takes some getting used to time and temperature for what you are doing but worth it (I keep notes on best settings for me). Fast and simple for most things. Does lose heat through doors but turning 1/2 way through solves. Doors may slam if you're not careful, bad for doors and burn possibility. Rotisserie setup and function is wonderful, but if doing a whole chicken, truss it and keep it under 5 pounds or will drag, etc. but heavenly and moist and quick. I have to clean it often because I use it so often for so much, but it's small enough that it doesn't take long. Check out hacks for air fryer online, you can do so much with it, just don't get caught up in nonsense of cooking something in an air fryer if it is really simpler, better or quicker to do it conventionally. Four years of hard use and no complaints, love this air fryer oven! ... show more

Edit#1: I've had this unit for only 7 months and it's already stopped working. I have reached out to the seller. I'll update again later. Edit #2: So pleased with the customer service with this seller! Very prompt and courteous! I had my replacement machine on my doorstop within 7 days! I hope the problem with the 1st machine does not happen again because I love this thing! So far I absolutely love this machine! The presets are really good. Everything I have cooked in it so far has been perfect! I will never cook bacon any other way again! Comes out perfect everytime! Reheating pizza tastes better that it did from the delivery! Rotisserie hotdogs...yummy! Steaks and burgers are perfect too! Easier than grilling! Definitely recommend! ... show more

    • There's definitely a learning curve and takes a bit of getting used to
Original order arrived with a dent on one side that obviously was due to miss-handling during shipment -- the shipping box and product box were both damaged in the spot where the dent was. It was easily returned for free and a replacement arrived in perfect condition. Yes it's big. But I'm replacing TWO toasters and a very large combination air-fryer/pressure cooker/slow cooker that needs two separate lids to be able to use all the functions and it takes up WAY to much space. The N**** appliance actually takes up nearly the same amount of counter space PLUS cabinet space for the extra "pressure" lid and the various accessories. Add two toasters to the mix and I'm actually gaining a lot of real estate on my counter. I've seen people complain about having to preheat the oven for toasting -- I didn't preheat and just started the toast feature on the default temperature and time. It worked perfectly for wheat and rye toast. I haven't tried it with white/light breads. Preheating an oven or an air-fryer is required no matter what, so no issues there. Yes, the beep every time you push a button or turn a dial is quite loud, but not a deal breaker. I LOVE the fact I can turn on the light and see what's happening inside. I've seen comments about wanting to be able to prepare meals faster -- but this isn't a microwave. It takes less time and energy to heat this oven than my full size oven, and since I'm usually preparing dishes for only two people it's a win-win situation so far, but I can also use this as a second oven to bake rolls or a side dish while the roast is still in the oven instead of having to wait until the roast is out so I can adjust the temperature for rolls or a side dish. I've given 4 stars across the board simply because I haven't used it enough to judge all the options or features. But so far so very good. ... show more

I ordered from the Amazon resale the first Kalorik MAXX® Countertop Air Fryer Ovens AFO 50253 OW. It came damaged and was dented by the control know (see the photos). The dent was not important but when I tested the heat settings with two of my digital thermometers the temperature would fluctuate and would be anywhere from 30 degrees to 65 degrees off. NOTE: I tested both my digital thermometers with an old small air fryer I have with the result being the air fryer and both my digital thermometers read about the same, therefore my digital thermometers were correct. I contacted the Kalorik Company and was told it sounds like the circuit board was damaged likely from the dent. I did receive a credit from Amazon and purchased two more assuming they would be fine. Yes two for two different locations. The first replacement I received looked great but when I did a test to see if it held an accurate temperature it failed like the first one. Then I received the second air fryer which came badly dented at the top a bottom of were the two doors close (see the photos). I have no clue how this damage could happen when the doors were OK. It looked as if the person who assembled it just put the doors on a damaged product. Out of curiosity I did a temperature test on this damaged air fryer and its temperature also fluctuated and would be anywhere from 30 degrees to 65 degrees off. The result was everything was sent back to Amazon and I will buy another brand (not Kalorik). I can’t even imagine how many people purchased this air fryer or any of Kalorics air fryer models assuming the temperature settings are correct. Where is the quality control at Kaloric? For all you buyers of this or any other air fryer brand test the temperature with a digital temperature for its accuracy. Never assume it is correct. ... show more
