Just used for the first time, very easy to use. As advised by others I applied Vaseline along my hairline prior to application and wore the "gloves" that come in the box. No stained skin or nails. Your hair clearly gets darker the longer you leave it in. The 5 minute rule is unclear as it takes a good 5 minutes just to comb/massage it into your hair. When does the timer start? The instructions do not say, but it seems sensible that it would start when its fully applied. The little attached brush works to get the die into your hair but is pretty ineffective at thoroughly combing it through; I used a regular wide-toothed comb to completely comb it through all of my hair. THEN I ran the timer. Rinsed then washed it out and used conditioner, and it looks great. Its black with gray, which is what it was already, just much more so now. I like the result, it will be interesting to see how fast it washes out. I would like to just do touchups where necessary and reserve the repeats for every two months or so. We will see!

Okay. I know what your thinking…. Me… Dye my hair??? Yikes. But I’m bald. I have my hair cut on a 1 1/2. From ear level; completely around my head the hairs are WHITE. Above that dark gray. My hair looked odd. Always bugged me when I looked in the mirror. So I said, try it. So I did and the white is now salt and pepper and matches I should say compliments, the upper part of my head. No one even notices, and the people that know me thinks it looks good. Believe me they would tell me if it didn’t. When you put it on it makes the hair go black. Don’t worry. When you get in the shower and you wash it off it blends in. It only takes five minutes. But you need to use gloves and make sure you wash off the back of your neck and your ears otherwise you will have dye on them. Good luck.

The maker of this product use to make / sale different ethnic hairstyle of this product, but for some reason I can only find this hairstyle brand. (I searched other sites than Amazon and couldn't find other ethnic product of this brand, as in the past).

These are great. After many years of planning to never color or shade my hair my youngest son got a little tired of being asked if he was having a good time with his grandpa when just the two of us would be out and around. After trying several types this is what I like the best by far I can re apply any week, usually every 6-7 weeks for me and its shuttle. At first the changes were very noticeable and I got a lot of grief from my male friends and compliments from female acquaintances. This week my wife was looking at some old pictures and asked when I was going to let my hair go back to the "distinguished wise grey" look because she liked it so much. As I was listening to her and replying I noticed my son in the far background listening in with an upset look on his face. When I said I might keep it for a long time his face lit up. I think I'll keep doing it. My son wins out over what my wife and I would prefer. I'll remind him ten years from now when he is older why I dyed my hair despite all my life hating even the idea of it but I think he will remember! A side benefit is I actually have also lost weight and look and FEEL younger. Amazing what a less than $100 a year expense can do. I'm glad a tried the "dying" thing and really glad I found this product. It is much better for me than the others. By the way I did do the full dark brown and then full dark black straight from near white so that first month or two was a real change and I was a little self conscious though anyone that asked me about it, when I told them about my "grandpa" encounters with my son, they all really liked the idea I did ask my son first if he would want me to try it and he very much did want me too. One of the other benefits about this over the color dyes is that the others, as they wore off, left an unnatural looking color or sheen until I re dyed, which I did not like at all. This touch of grey product for some reason does not do that so I do not feel forced to redo at any particular time. It is just when I want to. Never in my life would I have thought I would ever try a hair dye, certainly not tell anyone if I did, but I'm glad I did and this product is great..... Now watch.... A new company will buy out this one, change the formula to save money and it won't be as good. I hope not. It's great the way it is
