I seen this on a wedsite on how to use this product on pre hang back filters to get rid of the cartridges which are a waste of money this system seams to be working great. I saw a hack using this instead of small carbon filter and while the area is bigger I'm not convinced it's better. I like that I could reuse but I find myself cleaning tank more often.

Ummm.... this smells like chemicals. Very strong smell that did not rinse out. Tossed it in the garbage can.
