This product does not support connecting you Fire Stick using an Ethernet connection. If you utilize a WiFi connection to your Fire Stick this product would be perfect for you. It is definitely a plug and play installation.

What can I say? It is a piece of wire. It was not expensive. It works well. What does it do??????? WELL, it connects in seconds, now you can insert a USB thumb drive or even a portable hard drive into the USB port. This will allows me to, bye using my FireTVstick, to select download from any app I choose to use. Now the movie or, TV series gets stored on the attached storage device. This saves plugging up the firestick very tiny amount of on board memory. Now I can simply plug the USB STICK into any smart tv, ANYWHERE and enjoy a movie with no firestick present. BONUS.....ZERO BUFFERING using this method. Before you ask. Use ES FILE EXPLORER TO FIND THE FILE. look under movies

Nothing wrong with the cable per se: It's Firestick 4K that sucks with an external flashdrive. The idea was for me to be able to plug in a 256 Gig USB Thumbdrive-looking SSD and have all my movies on the Firestick. But... 1) FS only handles FAT32 formatted drives, so no large movies. 2) FS crashes when plugging in such a drive and many of the files on it are not visible to the FS. The drive works *great* on my computer though. 3) The cable works fine with a small 654 Gig flashdrive though. TLDR: The cable is good. Just don't expect your Firestick to be able to use a large (64G+?) USB SSD with it.

Easy way to add a memory stick to the Fire stick - I tried a 1 TB stick and it wouldn't work. it was too big to format. I then used a 128 mb one and it works fine
