Impressed with quality for price, may actually be over built as it contains more and thicker steel than my multi ton actual vehicle jacks, in a product that is ostensibly made for lifting less than 1000 lbs. I must emphasize, it needs a 6th star for sturdiness. Fits under my work bench and has been useful for a lot of things such as removing gas tanks and holding exhaust in place, great product, just, why is it so heavy Jegs? Im 6'2 and 250lbs and moving this thing around is a significant workout. My girlfriend was trapped in the house when the delivery driver left it on the porch in front of the door. The Jack works great and does what it's supposed to do, but the safety chain is only Half as long as it should be. They really should double the length. It's always better to have too much. Mine lacked about 6 inches and I was going over a small manual transmission. Plan on buying a longer one. Otherwise, No complaints. It's a good Jack for the price. ... show more

It gets the job done. It’s stout, the jack action/hydraulics are solid. The corner holds on the extension brackets are low quality, as is the mounting hardware. On its second use I sheared a few of the holds off just from the weight of an nv3500 5 speed (small trans) sliding out. It is black, not yellow. 3/5 because it’s pretty good, but there is surely better for the price. ... show more

    • Warranty is useless after 30 days
Bought this for a transmission swap I had planned in the future. Realized when I started working that the pump was not holding pressure and couldn’t hold the transmission. Jegs has warranty for 1 year but since it was past 30 days they would not pay for shipping to return it. The shipping is going to cost me 145 dollars due to the size and weight so the warranty is useless. Avoid this company if you can they do not make replacement parts. ... show more
