Description

The Arcan 3-Ton Aluminum Floor Jack is engineered for performance, durability, and ease of use in both professional and home automotive environments. Built from lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum, it is easy to move and position while still providing the strength and stability needed to lift up to 6,000 lb. Dual pump pistons allow fast lifting, while the reinforced lift arm helps increase chassis rigidity and service life. With a low profile 3.75 in saddle height and an 18 in maximum lift range, this jack works well with both lower- clearance vehicles and taller service heights. Safety is built in with overload and bypass valves to protect the hydraulic system. This model complies with ASME PASE-2019 for lifting equipment, undergoing rigorous testing to meet high safety and reliability expectations. The latest production update transitions the model number from A20018 to A20019, reflecting ongoing improvements in design and performance.

  • Great
Very nice Jack

  • Steel to first time Aluminum Jack
I did a ton of research to determine which low profile floor jack to buy. I had been using a big and heavy steel floor jack for years and finally bought this one. I had tried some of my friends Aluminum floor jacks that advertise that it only takes a few pumps to lift the car to full height. Have you tried these jacks? I have and they take a ton of weight to push town on the handle to lift the car. I'm not a NASCAR pit crew that is jumping on the handle and worried about 10 pumps or 3 pumps to full lift. I wanted the hydraulic advantage of my old steel jack, a lighter jack, and one that is truly low profile for my 350Z. On my steel jack, the hydraulic advantage is so good I can jack up my car with only one half of the handle in the jack. (by the way, it's over 34 years old on the original oil and still going strong!) My garage is pretty tight so it is really helpful to use only one half of the handle when jacking up the car. So, this jack is really impressive. The pictures don't do it justice on how well made it is. They really need to add more super high resolution photo's. The video helps a lot to see how well built this jack is. It has a great hydraulic advantage so you do not need to put your full body weight on the handle to jack the car up. I only use one half of the handle when jacking my car up in my cramped garage space on the sides. I can easily jack the car up with no issues. It's low enough profile for my 350Z that is very low to the ground. On my steel jack, I had removed the cast iron jacking cup/plate in order to get it low enough for my 350Z. This jack easily fits under my car as-is. It does not jack your car up in 3 pumps with you jumping on the handle with all of your weight and that is not what I wanted to buy. The hydraulic release works great and it easily lowers the car in a very controlled manner. My only constructive comment is that this jack is so well made that it is not very light. I was really struggling with deciding if I wanted a 3 ton, 2 ton, or 1.5 ton jack. I wanted to take it to the track and was hoping it would be pretty light weight. I never weighed my old steel jack but all I can say is this jack is not obviously a lot lighter than my old jack. This is a big, strong, and heavy duty jack so if you are looking for a super light weight jack that is really portable this is probably not it. I still love this jack but I'm now thinking about getting a much lighter Aluminum jack for the track weekends. Lastly, I know when I was debating this versus other jacks the warranty wasn't as good. I think ARCAN needs to improve their warranty to be more competitive. I read a lot of reviews on other websites and decided this was the jack for me even though the warranty wasn't as good. It looks like tons of folks are making lower cost Aluminum jacks that have problems after 1-2 years of use. I'm counting on it being built well enough that I don't need the warranty but it would be nice for ARCAN to back up the product with a better warranty. ... show more

  • Works great, long service, not sure about support
I’ve had one of these for over 7 years now, and it has been a great jack. I live in a Mid Atlantic city and have to work in my alley. It was MUCH easier to carry up from the basement than the last jack I had (forgotten now what it was, but steel) to get to work. Even so, it’s lived under steps under my covered patio for at least 5 years and is still going strong. Used it today. I use it several times a year, and when I’m using it it can be over several days depending on the project. It’s been super reliable given it’s lifestyle, and “feels good” to use. Maybe there are better jacks if you were going to use it constantly, but of all the tools I own this one has been one of the purchases I have felt best about. My quibble, and why I am here to write this review, is that the saddle pad has died and I am looking for an easy replacement. There is not one on offer. I’m sure I can find a generic one to fit, but would be nice if they offered it next to the product. That makes me wonder about support if I had a more serious issue, but luckily for me that has not been a bridge I’ve had to cross. ... show more

  • Less effort to operate
I bought this jack to replace an older (5-6 yrs) version of the same jack. I use my jack 2-4 times a day to lift, generally one side, a 3700 lb car. So it gets lots of use. I really liked the old jack and did not see any, that were advertised to be better enough than what I had experienced with the old one, to leave me comfortable with trying another brand or model. It does however perform differently than the old. It is easier to move/roll. The casters/wheels may have been upgraded. It takes less effort/force to operate the handle the full 90 degrees. ~ 35% less effort. It does take more strokes to achieve the same level. ~25% more strokes than the old one. The rotational distance of the handle to lower the jack is about half that of the old one. I actually prefer the longer handle turn radius of the old jack. Just makes me feel safer, even though I do not crawl under the car without stands or blocks. Great low profile jack... ... show more
