I really like this jack. The lighter weight of the aluminum makes it a bit easier to maneuver when you are crawling around in awkward positions. I travel with it a lot and it is easier to take with you and stow with some finesse vs my old craftsman steel jack which is just not much fun to carry (but still works after 45 years). It has handles on the side which are nice. The build quality is very good. The dual piston is nice to take up the initial gap. It works on my Chevy Silverado and it has enough travel to get the wheels up. This is actually the second one I have purchased because I liked the first one so much. I selectively buy stuff at harbor freight (they do have some very good tools actually) and I think this jack is worth the extra cost over the ones they sell.

I did a ton of research to determine which low profile floor jack to buy. I had been using a big and heavy steel floor jack for years and finally bought this one. I had tried some of my friends Aluminum floor jacks that advertise that it only takes a few pumps to lift the car to full height. Have you tried these jacks? I have and they take a ton of weight to push town on the handle to lift the car. I'm not a NASCAR pit crew that is jumping on the handle and worried about 10 pumps or 3 pumps to full lift. I wanted the hydraulic advantage of my old steel jack, a lighter jack, and one that is truly low profile for my 350Z. On my steel jack, the hydraulic advantage is so good I can jack up my car with only one half of the handle in the jack. (by the way, it's over 34 years old on the original oil and still going strong!) My garage is pretty tight so it is really helpful to use only one half of the handle when jacking up the car. So, this jack is really impressive. The pictures don't do it justice on how well made it is. They really need to add more super high resolution photo's. The video helps a lot to see how well built this jack is. It has a great hydraulic advantage so you do not need to put your full body weight on the handle to jack the car up. I only use one half of the handle when jacking my car up in my cramped garage space on the sides. I can easily jack the car up with no issues. It's low enough profile for my 350Z that is very low to the ground. On my steel jack, I had removed the cast iron jacking cup/plate in order to get it low enough for my 350Z. This jack easily fits under my car as-is. It does not jack your car up in 3 pumps with you jumping on the handle with all of your weight and that is not what I wanted to buy. The hydraulic release works great and it easily lowers the car in a very controlled manner. My only constructive comment is that this jack is so well made that it is not very light. I was really struggling with deciding if I wanted a 3 ton, 2 ton, or 1.5 ton jack. I wanted to take it to the track and was hoping it would be pretty light weight. I never weighed my old steel jack but all I can say is this jack is not obviously a lot lighter than my old jack. This is a big, strong, and heavy duty jack so if you are looking for a super light weight jack that is really portable this is probably not it. I still love this jack but I'm now thinking about getting a much lighter Aluminum jack for the track weekends. Lastly, I know when I was debating this versus other jacks the warranty wasn't as good. I think ARCAN needs to improve their warranty to be more competitive. I read a lot of reviews on other websites and decided this was the jack for me even though the warranty wasn't as good. It looks like tons of folks are making lower cost Aluminum jacks that have problems after 1-2 years of use. I'm counting on it being built well enough that I don't need the warranty but it would be nice for ARCAN to back up the product with a better warranty.

This jack is extremely well-built and feels good to use. It lifts easily and gives me confidence. It's a big heavy jack, so it's not incredibly maneuverable, but it's far lighter than similar feeling steel jacks which does make it easier to shift around. Two handles on the body of the jack also make lifting and moving it easier. The lifting pad is large and has a grippy rubber, though I always use an additional puck to protect my car. It is a true low-profile and works for my mildly lowered Miata and is long enough to reach any jack point easily. It's just as capable lifting a much heavier Tesla and I'm sure would also work for even larger vehicles. It has an impressive lifting range from ~3 inches to ~20 inches. The handle has protective padding on the lower half and comes apart to enable use in narrower spaces where a full length handle doesn't fit well. Two complaints but not enough to dock stars, - Removing the shipment securing hook after receiving the jack was very challenging and felt somewhat dangerous to my fingers - The whole handle is not easily removable (requires using a wrench) which makes storage more difficult or time consuming

After my old portable craftsman 3 ton jack fell over under my car and bent itself (and marred up the underside of my car) I decided it was time for something a little safer. I contemplated buying one of those harbor freight aluminum jacks but I figured if I'm going to spend the money I may as well get something a little nicer. Let me tell you, this is A LOT nicer than those jacks. My jack came in all silver with the Arcan logo on the side which I think looks awesome. The handle is nicely padded to protect the bumper, the rear casters have a large contact area with the ground so they move around easy. The only thing that is junk on this jack is the rubber pad on the plate, pretty much after your first use it will look pretty beat up, I am a little surprised its not more durable. Overall, the jack is light enough I can carry it around, lift my car very quickly and securely, the pads a piece of crap but it makes up for it by looking so darn sexy.

Camping trips with my old Subaru are why I grabbed this ARCAN 3-ton aluminum jack. I wanted something light enough to toss in the trunk but strong enough to lift the car on dirt pullouts near the trailheads. Carrying it from the parking lot feels fine, weight is manageable and the low profile design slides under my slightly lowered car without drama, which is nice when i'm trying to get on the road before sunrise. The lift action feels smooth and the handle has good grip. I was a little bummed that the saddle pad feels a bit small, so I’m extra careful about placement on the pinch welds. It also takes a few more pumps than I expected to get full height. Still works well for quick tire swaps after gravel roads.

Expensive....yes, but completely worth it. I had a few floor jacks over the years and they all worked okay . . .all still work but they had very little controllability on lowering, was about 1/2 turn of handle between relief valve off and on and vehicle would just drop very fast to the floor. ouch... The arcan is not like this at all. It has an extremely manageable and progressive lowering speed that you can stop at any point. I am extremely happy with this purchase. Quick detach of handle for transport, light and portable, rolls easily. etc. well thought out product. Wish it had slightly more powerful pump. It's not 'easy' to pump up as I had expected for a 3ton jack and was only lifting one side of a sedan that weighs ~4k lbs. so would think this would be simple since it's roughly 1/3rd of the max load capacity of the jack. But as I am not foreseeing lifting anything 3tons with it anytime too soon I am completely content with the purchase.

I have already used this multiple times on my Sierra 1500 (tire rotations and brake jobs) and it performed flawlessly. (I did get a thicker pad but not sure that was necessary.) I followed the bleed instructions prior to using…very straight forward. Lightly sprayed white lithium grease on each pivoting point out of an abundance of caution. This lime green color is something that has grown on me. Bought some 3 ton jacks from HF hoping the green would match this but it’s a slightly different shade of green. No matter. Very happy with this jack!

I have had this jack for almost 5 and 1/2 years at this point and it has been going strong - and has been worked hard over those years lifting vehicles and helping install transmissions. Just after the 5 year mark I noticed performance was degrading, and that was easily remedied with a hydraulic fluid top off (my first time adding oil to this jack) plus replacing the O-ring on the fill plug. Still good as new and a simple maintenance task will keep this going. I was looking back to see when I purchased this and was impressed that I've had it since 2021. I would happily purchase again if this one gave up.
