We needed a curtain rod for black out drapes for a window in an old house. The space was limited to just the 4 inch window frame on each end since the window is in an alcove, and the window frame is old, heavy wood. Because of this we had to mount it above the window frame and get a rod that didn't have anything large and decorative at the ends. This went up easily, telescoped to the right length and has the best possible curtain coverage, due to the minimal end caps. It's looks nice and since the rod and the curtains are not super heavy, we didn't need to use anchors which is great for a rental property. The picture isn't great but shows how well it fills the space.

This was easy to assemble for my husband. I love the sleek black color of the curtain rod. The length is adjustable so we easily knew which pieces we needed. There’s no loud scraping sounds when we slide the curtain and it glides smoothly. It is easy to remove if we need to and it functions well. The media could not be loaded. These are really heavy duty black metal rods. They were easy to install and fit the window just right. All the hardware was included and everything was the same color so it looks very farmhouse in our dining room. They are holding are pinch pleat curtains perfectly. They are secure but also easy to take down to clean the curtains too.

I think these are good quality for the price and they look simple and softly contemporary. The black is matte and the end caps are heavy and look great. I ordered a bunch of rods in different sizes for different windows and they ended up looking really good. I'm giving them four stars vs. five for two reasons: One, the brackets aren't great looking. The screws are exposed and so you see two open spots below them on the wall and it looks cheap. They need some type of cover or a different design. Two, the lengths given on the listing are a little misleading. I've ordered lots of adjustable curtain rods over the years and I like to not have much of the inner/sliding tube exposed where the two tubes meet, which can look cheap and/or sag there. So I ordered the 72"-144" size for my 72" windows thinking that I really wouldn't have to expand the rods at all. Weirdly, the longest tube/rod is 55", meaning that for a 72" window I had to expand it by 17". Not sure why the listing didn't say 55"-144". This is the first time I've had this experience and I'm a little disappointed. I still like them and am keeping them, but keep this in mind if you're like me and don't want to have to see where the rods slide in/out to expand.

Needed a really long curtain rod for the windows in our new house. Debated getting one really long rod or several smaller rods, but decided to take a chance on this one. So glad we did! This rod is very well built, and feels very sturdy. On some curtain rods, when you extend the rod to its maximum length, it feels very wiggly and unsecure. Not this one. It felt solid and secure from the middle to the extreme ends. Very easy to install as well. Pros: 1. Sturdiness. Doesn’t feel cheap. It feels substantial and provides support along the entire length, even when extended near maximum length. 2. Ease of installation. No tricks or weird templates to use. Straightforward. 3. Appearance. Has the look and feel of one of the high-end design magazine curtain rods without the corresponding high price. Cons: None so far. We’ve ordered two more for other windows in the house!
