So I like this garbage can because of the dimensions of it. It fit in in the kitchen, exactly where I needed it too. Have not had a problem with the sensor opening, however, it is different than other sensor opening garbage cans that I’ve had. Personally, I like this one more than the ones that go up and down. It may look small and may look like it doesn’t hold a full bag of garbage, but it definitely does. I suppose the only “negative” thing I could say about it is that it does open a little more slowly than the sensory garbage cans that pop up and down But not too slowly that it is annoying or bothersome. I have owned this product for several months now, and waited to write my review until I saw how it was going to hold up since some of the reviews made mention of the opener going haywire after a while. I am in love with this trash can. It is super convenient to operate, standard kitchen bags work perfectly in it, and I get compliments on it from everyone who goes into my kitchen. The built in odor neutralizer really works, too. I have had absolutely zero issues with this product, and am considering getting one for my utility room as well. I did get the AC cord so that it plugs into the wall, just so I didn’t have to worry with batteries. I was also concerned about it seeming to be a little on the small side, but I swear I can fit more into it than the ugly Sterilite it replaced. Since it’s metal, it wipes clean very easily, and fits perfectly where I wanted it. I had a SimpleHuman at my previous house that I paid about $200 for, plus the bags that had to go with it (since I couldn’t ever find a normal trash bag that fit correctly) and eventually I sold it with my last home. This one is MUCH cheaper, uses normal trash bags, and works as well (maybe even better). By far the best sensor trash can I can imagine getting at this price point. ... show more

Got the white color one which looks very nice, makes you feel like you're in a Star Trek movie. Don't forget to get either 4 D batteries or the power adapter for it, it comes with neither. It accepts 13 to 18 gallons trash bags, unfortunately there are not many good choices for 18 gallons bags as there are for 13 gallons. It's pretty loud, and a bit slow, and I do wish it had the deodorizer feature and filters like the other one. And why not go all out and make it smart and connected through wifi or at least bluetooth, not sure what all the practical applications there could be yet for it except for opening it remotely to throw paper balls into, although that right there could be worth it. ... show more

Beware: When the item was opened it was noted that there were marks and scratches on the top device portion of the garbage can which contains the motor for the touchless opening. It was clear that the device was USED and sold in refurbished condition by the seller, which does NOT match what was ordered. We had ordered a NEW garbage can. Upon first use, it became obvious why the garbage can had been returned previously- it slams and bangs against the bottom portion approximately 8 to 9 times upon EACH closing. Loudly. About two slams/bangs per second, scaring the daylights out if our dog. It does not simply shut; it gets close to shutting, bangs up and down the aforementioned 8 or 9 times when it gets within a centimeter of shutting, and then shuts. Loudly. We are dissatisified with this seller for attempting to ship us a refurbished, defective, item. We are currently waiting to have this remedied, and will update with that experience, which we hope it is smooth and pleasant. ... show more

Looks great! Exactly what I was looking for. This is our third automatic trash can...and we simply LOVE it! It's everything it said it would be. For this particular one, we really like that the lid rolls back rather than flip up. We however had an issue with the lid. It chattered back and forth whenever it’s trying to close which is extremely annoying and loud. Minor adjustment we made in order for the lid to close properly was we super glued a piece of plastic on the tip of the lid to help the sensor so the lid would completely shut and stop making that sound. Problem solved and now it works fine! We also liked this one because of the size of the container. You can get a lot of trash in it. Purchased the iTouchless AC Power Adapter as well. ... show more

I love this trash barrel, it's sleek, quiet, and I love the fact that it opens back and forth rather than up and down...I've had up and down in the past and the lid has broken easily. My husband was worried that the opening was too narrow but we've had no problems. Also love that it comes with a deodorizing filter. It says to use 18 gallon trash bags but I've been using my leftover 13 gallon bags with no problem whatsoever. The price when compared to other touchless trash barrels is fantastic, and is even comparable with some of the nicer foot pedal ones, definitely worth it! ... show more

Bought this trash can for our bathroom. definitely needed a white and black, so the color is what led me to this one. I was expecting the top and bottom to match as far as "white" goes but they dont, the top is very white and the can appears close to ivory? This is the only issue i have with this can. I also purchased the adapter, we fortunately we have an outlet in the baseboard where the can will sit, so it's perfect and don't have to go through batteries! The sensor is great and responsive. I love the way the lid slide back instead of the pop up kind. Even though the color is off on the can, I still gave it 5 stars becuase it's a great trash can and still recommend. ... show more
