I'm a full-time RVer living on the road, so space is at a premium. I don't need to print stuff very often, but it does occasionally happen. A laser printer would obviously be waaay overkill for my situation, but this thermal printer fits the bill perfectly! I bought a 200pk of paper to go with it, and the once a month or so that I need to print something, this thing works great! I DID have trouble on my first prints with the print quality being pretty poor and words not being all that legible. I found that if you go into the settings, you can adjust the dithering - adjusting this helps tremendously with with print quality and totally clears up any print quality issues.
