Not sure if I should respond to this. I purchased this item March 6th and had SO many problems setting it up. And, this is the THIRD Romba I have purchased! Been using these for about 15 years. I spent literally hours on the phone with Customer Service trying to set up a schedule. Finally gave up on that and just started manually starting it whenever I needed it to vacuum. After about a month, it would start and then stop within a few feet and said it needed to be moved to a new location because it was about to go over a step! Spent more hours again with CS to no avail! After about 4 hours and several different assistants, they decided to send me a new unit. I got the new unit just yesterday and will wait until this weekend to set it up. Fortunately I STILL had the original box it came in and just now repackaged it and will put it on UPS today. And fortunately I purchased this on Amazon so was eligible to return it. Roomba actually sent me a new one. Have to say that it was very easy to use the physical buttons on all 3 that I've had. I've got my fingers crossed that this one works perfectly! I have to admit Roomba Customer Service was great and did EVERYTHING they could do to help me resolve the problems! Hats off to Amazon AND ROOMBA!

Nothng but problem from the start, always erroring, always errors clot but nothing there to remove. Done with this brand, going in the trash and looking else where fpr better product. Very disappointed!!!

I had look it these for years and considered getting one but being the clean person that I am I just didnt think it could do a satisfactory job. Me neighbors broke so I brought it home to fix it and once fixed I had to try it out before returning it. I was shocked how thorough it was. I purchased one that day. I purchased refurbished as I have had excellent luck with refurbished products and was able to get a warranty so win. This does an amazing job, and I can use the time I would have spent vacuuming, cleaning other things. We have two dogs that shed like crazy but it does an amazing job getting all the hair. We have a fairly small house, and it sometimes has to empty in the middle of cleaning because of so much hair. I am so glad we purchased the self-emptying model. I was disappointed to find bags were required inside the self-emptying unit but found some reusable zipper bags that have worked great and inexpensive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The vacuum works really good, takes itself home and empties its bin if it gets full and then starts vacuuming again. It will discover locations and objects, and you can smart map to keep it from certain places if you need too. Picks up really good, great for dog hair for sure. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because when I got the package the cord for the base was not included so I had to order one before I could ever charge it and start using and I didn’t see anywhere but just a minor inconvenience as the cord wasn’t expensive. Aside from that though I love it.

Refurbished or not this has been great I’ve had it for a few days now and it took a sec to figure out how to use but now it’s doing a great job and on schedule. It’s not easy to keep up with floors when you have 3 dogs but this helps

Since this was a refurbished product I believe I was supplied the wrong dust bin for the robot. Per the manual, the dust bin should have a hole on the bottom to allow the vacuum/recharge base to empty the roomba. The dust bin I received does not have this emptying hole. So when the vacuum base attempts to empty the roomba nothing gets cleared out. Then the vacuum base claims that it's clogged. As of right now the vacuum base does not serve its self-emptying purpose. The vacuum base is extremely loud. It's loud enough to have to leave the room if/when it activates. 2 stars because the roomba works but I have a useless self-emptying, and extremely loud base.

Robot vac did not work right from minute one. It repeatedly ignored, smart mapping, and went into areas. It should not have. It refused to empty itself properly. Every time I used it I got error messages stating the unit or the clean base was clogged. After checking the unit and the clean base, no clogs could ever be found. I bought this in the hopes to solve the need for more vacuuming! Our house has, 4 adults, 2 cats, 2 dogs and 2 kids that visit regularly!!! I read a lot of reviews most were positive with carpets and pets! This robot vacuum does great! The only negative is it leaves a few spots on the tiles in the kitchen but in all the carpeted rooms it does great! I would definitely buy another one! I also bought this refurbished and so far no issues! The noise level is not bad either the loudest noise is when the vacuum empties. I also love the child / pet lock definitely comes in handy! Easy to use! Mapped great! *** UPDATE **** This worked great for about a month and then it stopped recognizing the self emptying bin base. So it would go to the base but not empty into the base. Then I would manually remove the bin from the actual roomba and empty it. I contacted the support and told them the problem they ran some test and then sent me a new bin for the actual roomba but not a new emptying base which is what the problem was in the first place? They did say if this didn’t fix the problem I would have to send it in for repair? Also since the error with the self emptying base sometimes it gets confused about where it is and will stop vacuuming one room and go to another room? I am hopeful that perhaps there is an easy fix. Maybe just reconnecting the base to the roomba so it recognizes the base as a self emptying base and will start emptying into it again? Since there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with the base? Returned too much trouble went offline couldn’t get back online! Still wouldn’t empty into self empty base before going offline! Contacted support helpful but didn’t fix issues too much trouble! Perhaps I’ll try to buy a new one at a later date.
