Rotational movement makes soap squirt out in wrong ways. It spins too easily, no resistance built in so cannot position the spout.

this is a very nice looking unit, which fits well with the nice Grohe kitchen faucets. it is nothing special as far as operation. it isnt very easy to fill, as the fill hole is simply the same size as where the dispenser fits, and its impossible to tell how much soap has actually been added except by looking at the source. every now and then it stops working, and then it takes awhile to determine if its just plugged or out of soap. kind of a dump approach to a very simple concept. I have often found this to be true of German fixtures...they look very good, but they are often more complex than needs require for the job. Grohe should simply this item and make it a lot more user friendly. ... show more

It does have a fairly short spout, so make sure where you place the holes for it in your countertop as you could be getting soap everywhere, but the sink!
