I see why this was on sale. All it does is get stuck. It gets fixated on one spot that it can’t move. Definitely doesn’t start back up to where it’s left off after it empties . It also can’t ever find “home”. I guess I’ll have to send it back. Not worth all that money and I took out the 3 year warranty and ordered extra rolls and bags. So frustrating! I always read the reviews but this time I should have read more. After time I finally figured out what was going wrong. The instructions weren’t as complete as I needed them….makes me feel stupid but at least now…I’m amazed with how smart this little machine is! This is fantastic!!!!! ... show more

    • Great cleaning, terrible everything else
EDIT November 2025: it will no longer connect to anything a majority of the time. I have to reboot it multiple times a day just so it will charge. It will only charge sometimes. It has barely been over a year. Does it suction great WHEN it decides to work? Totally. Does it only decide to work MAYBE 15% of the time? Yep. Do not buy this one. I need to find a new cleaning robot brand at this rate. EXTREMELY disappointed in iRobot, i have kept roombas for 10 years now (2 roombas lasted my family a decade, by the way) and neither had been awful. But this one, our 3rd roomba, is. I paid a whole lot for this thing to not work after a damn year. Extremely frustrated. I love this roomba as a whole. Suction, cleaning ability and hair pickup are great. BUT. It gets 3 stars for a few reasons. First of all: she becomes convinced the bin is completely full when there's nothing but a few hairs in it. I'm talking 5% or less full. Then she stops and demands I empty it. Half the time won't even go to the dock. Just red buttons and yells about needing emptied. Even if the dock is 6 inches away. Randomly red-buttons and stops without any reason to be found in app or physically. Will just beep. Won't even give an "error *enter number*". Just blinks and won't move. VERY touchy. EXTREMELY touchy. More touchy than any Roomba I've ever had, and I've had like 4 in the last 12 years. My very first roomba, 12 years ago, was better at mapping, better at filling the bin, better at moving around. This one is better at cleaning, suction and the like but absolutely terrible at mapping or just generally working at all. Sometimes it just goes to sleep for a few days, too. I keep thinking it's broken despite being extremely gentle and careful with it. But nope, sometimes it just doesn't feel like working. If you want to sit and let the roomba run, this one is NOT IT. You WILL be getting up every 3-5 minutes to fix something. It has been this way since the day I took it out of the box in October. If you don't mind picking it up and emptying it every 3-5 minutes, go for it. Cleaning ability really is excellent, but the rest of it is problematic. It truly isn't worth the price; buy on sale or buy refurbished. I'm kind of disappointed in iRobot for this one, not going to lie. I'm disabled and really need the help of this dang robot, but spent hundreds for a subpar product. ... show more

    • Poor Quality and Customer Service
My third one al lwe’re broken or stopped working after a few uses. I really wanted one, but this company does not make a quality product.The first two I got at a store that would take them back the third one I bought on Amazon. With no ability to return after using it under 10 times over approximately 3 months. I called the iRobot company and they just kept sending me on a wild goose chase to get more and more and more receipts which I could not obtain anymore of. At the end of the day they just cut me off Amazon has nobody to get in touch with so there’s absolutely nothing I can do. I would warn anybody buying this item not to.     • DO NOT BUY! Yikes! Wish I could return
The media could not be loaded. Updated September 2025: After sending the vacuum to iRobot/Roomba to be repaired for nearly two months, this video is how it returned. Still doesn’t work. They will not fix it or replace it. Updated March 2025: I wish I could give this 0 starts. At this point, the vacuum will no longer turn on or work at all. I’ve spent hours trying to have it replaced for over a month with iRobot. I keep getting the runaround. After yet another long phone call today, I was told that they refuse to replace it, but will try to repair it, which will take over a month. So the vacuum I bought in October, didn’t open until November (so it was out of the return window when I realized it didn’t work), still doesn’t work in March, and won’t be working for at least another month after shipping and repair times. So basically, I have my fingers crossed that 7 months after buying it, it might work. Don’t spend your money! We had a self-emptying Shark for a few years. When it died, we decided to try out a Roomba. Gosh, I wish we would have bought another Shark. Of the 20 or so times we’ve tried to run it since we’ve had it (we bought maybe 2-3 months ago), it has been unable to finish the job probably 18 of the times. I know these things can be sensitive so I’ve made sure to pick anything up that could be in its way beforehand. It gets stuck on the couch all the time. I’ve tried to put stuff to block it but it keeps going to the same spot, pushing that stuff away, and getting stuck. The maps don’t get the entire room. It does a terrible job on the edges of walls. It does not empty fully into the bin. I find little piles of sand/dirt randomly through the rooms it ran in like it just leaked it out in piles (this is especially true right in front of the base - it’s like it knocks the dirt out trying to get on top of the base every single time). Maybe this is due to it not emptying as it should. Last time it stopped it said there was a sensor problem (it’s hardly run at all - makes no sense). No matter what we have tried, it does not work properly. I hate we can’t return it now that we’ve been able to see it doesn’t get any better. ... show more
