So far I really like this product. It took a little to get it set up as most instructions are pictures. Ugh. Once it was set up, mapping the place was easy. What I didn’t like was the initial map. A bit confusing which room was which. We ran the roomba to see what room it was in and to name it on the app. That made things much easier. Doing everything thru the app makes sense and once it starts cleaning it shows you the route. I’ve only had this a short time and haven’t tried the mop feature yet so can’t speak to that but the vacuum aspect is great. And I have 2 dogs that shed. No more dust bunnies. ... show more

The shipping was actually accurate and was delivered the next day. Really well packaged. Almost immediately after taking it out of the box it you could tell it is a well throughout product and high quality. All of the gadgets are well made and have made it more efficient. I was surprised with how many features it has. This is my first time buying any type of roomba. But, was delightfully surprised with the design and ease. Also from doing research ahead of time, this seemed like the best entry model to get and I’m glad I picked it. The mapping is super fast. Idk what I expected, but was shocked with how quickly it did it. Less than ten minutes. The zones aka things to focus or avoid are clutch. I always felt like roombas would just bump into everything or not do that good of a job sweeping and I wish I would’ve bought this sooner. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Price point. Ordered my Roomba Vacuum 104 from Amazon but they sent a 105. Was not been able to find a difference between the two so decided to keep the Vacuum. I downloaded App and set up according to app instructions and created my first map. Thats when everything went downhill. There are many things that went wrong but I’ll try and keep my list short. The Roomba would not stay connected to my WiFi. There is no problem with our WiFi, all other devices stay connected and we live in a major US city so WiFi is great. I wanted to ‘merge’ and change my maps to personalization vacuum to our home, and could not find a screen in the app to do this. In fact, there wasn’t much of anything in the app and some screens were blank. The Home Screen was mostly blank although it did flash a map once in a while. The Robot screen gave me charging percentages and Resources such a manual, robot health, etc which were all useless. The Support screen was anything but support; more things to read and none solved my problem. Never found the screens that I needed to personalize my robot so I did a factory reset thinking that would help. It did not. Machine kept saying “map created” but non ever appeared on the App. Decided to call customer service for help. Now, what Roomba NEEDS to understand is that by the time a customer calls for support, they have already tried to trouble shoot and are frustrated. I was hoping for a native English speaking person to help me, but as usual, I got a pleasant, but hard to understand guy with a thick foreign accent. He tried to help but ended up sending me links to read (NOT what I wanted or needed at that point) and he marked my case “resolved”. I ended up trying to trouble shoot some more and eventually called back. The second person was more difficult to understand and with the accent and fast speaking it made communication worse. She asked me for screen shots of the problem which I sent. Then asked for list of other things including: Mobile Device(s) & OS Version (Screenshot), Router Brand and Model # (Picture), Screenshot of the Error in the app (Screenshot), Wi-Fi Details on your settings phones. She also wanted me to read the link about weekly maintenance while on the phone with her. Are you kidding me?? Clean the machine? It’s new and all I’m trying to do is use it with the App! I really don’t believe either person understood my issue, it just seemed easier for them to send me links to read. The second customer service person also marked my problem “resolved”. I was so disappointed as I have wanted a Robot Vacuum for so long and now will be returning it. The Vacuum itself seemed to have good suction but had a tough time going from hardwood floors to carpet but the biggest issue for me was the App not working with the machine. Machine is also very loud. I’m giving this review a 1-Star just because the machine itself vacuums, but that’s about it. ... show more
