    • We were reluctant- I was braced for a dud

This pool and all the accessories did not disappoint. We were prepared to purchase a bigger pump but really this pump does a great job for the amount of water! Would a bigger one do better? Of course! But why spend more money?? The key has been to clean the filter every day. We got the pool June 6 it is now August 16 and we’ve been rotating between two filters (we did toss one so far), we spray off the one that needs cleaned after popping in a clean one then we leave it in the sun to dry. It’s a great idea to leave the filter on during and after the pool use while everything is stirred up. The tarp was impressive but It did finally give way in a windstorm and tore on something. I purchased another Intex cover only the 16 foot round so we had more to work with and strap down. We came up with the perfect solution for windy areas such as ours... Cargo straps that you use in trucks with the rachet tightening mechanism! We used 3 to connect together. This pool is so sturdy, our yard was newly finished and the ground ended up settling more beneath the weight making the pool less level which made us nervous but it hasn’t phased it in the slightest!! We kind of figured it would only last us the season but now that it’s stood the test of time and children (up to 8 at a time for a party, ages 5-10) we need to figure out where we’re going to store it. Hahah Our only complaint, is the little white plastic guards that go over the ends of the screws on the ladder fall off easily! My son took about an inch of deep flesh off of his under arm with an unprotected screw on the ladder, shredding his flesh. It was gruesome. I make sure to tighten them about every use and the kids are more cautious. It’s really quite big for a starter pool. It was well worth the money and though it was a learning curve we were successful in keeping the water treated with Food grade 35% peroxide and baking soda. Pools are work!!! But it was enjoyable knowing you have a sparkling pool to refresh in afterwards ... show more

Overall this was a decent pool. The 30” depth makes it great for younger kids. Setup of the pool itself was pretty easy but connection of the pump was a bit of a hassle. I think the pump portions were in a little high and you had to really fill it up high to be able to use them. For someone who hasn’t had a pool before there were no instructions and pool care such as when to use chlorine. ... show more
