Frequently asked questions

The Aquarian Phoenix 21 Foot Pool Set includes a steel frame outdoor above ground pool, pump, ladder kit, sand filter, pool liner, net, and skimmer. Everything you need to set up and maintain your pool is included.

The pool has a depth of 52 inches, offering ample depth for swimming and recreational activities for both adults and children.

The Aquarian Phoenix pool is designed for straightforward, DIY assembly. However, it's recommended to have at least 2-3 people to assist with the setup process, which may take a few hours. Following the included instructions carefully will help ensure a smooth setup.

The pool should be installed on a level, stable surface. Grass, dirt, or gravel surfaces need to be prepared and possibly covered with a sand base or other type of padding for protection. Installing on an uneven surface can lead to structural damage and void the warranty.

However, if you're not equipped to handle these challenges or are looking for a hassle-free experience, you might want to consider other options or purchase from a local supplier with reliable customer service.

  • Great quality pool.
Size: 15' Style: Phoenix
I had the pool professionally installed, but finding an installer to do it was a challenge, as they have contracts with pool places. The installer stated he was surprised where I bought the pool & it’s great quality. It’s just as good as the pool places selling 6,000.00 pools for a fraction of the cost. I ordered pool sand for underneath from my local landscaping place & paid to have it delivered too. Look up how much you’ll need online for the specs of your pool. Purchase sand for the filter, because it doesn’t come with it. I also purchased separately cushions for the bottom corners. As a previous pool owner for 14 years, I was familiar with the process. There’s no point in investing your money to not install it properly & expect it to last or give it a bad review. The liner wasn’t a bad one, but after reading reviews before buying, I didn’t want to risk finding out if it was good or not on the day of installation. I bought a heavy gauge one with a pattern instead. The ladder isn’t sturdy, it’s not child proof & a hassle to assemble. I will be buying a better one this summer, but it was useable. Use caution with the ladder is my advice. The filter was big enough to keep my pool clean & I had to buy a hose for vacuuming, the pool package came with attachment to go over the basket hole though. i also use a solar cover & swear by it. It keeps my pool clean, does heat it up & keeps the heat in at night & reduces chlorine from being drained from the sun. The solar covers only last for me for about two years but are we’ll worth it I feel. The caps are a hard resin, but from what I seen at pool places this is the new product. They are sturdy & nothing to be concerned about, as many name brand pool manufacturers are utilizing this resin now. I know many have installed the pool themselves, but they also haven’t done so properly from what I read. If you do it on your own plan on a big project & do it right. Dig down, use sand, go the right route & this pool will last. I’m extremely satisfied and saved more than half the money I would’ve if I went to a pool place. ... show more

  • I just bought socks for the skimmer basket to catch the finer material.
Size: 15' Style: Phoenix
4 stars for the price^^^ It is a base model pool. It is the 1st pool I ever installed. It is plenty large enough for my family of 3. Pros: The price and free shipping! Cons: The instructions were generalized and unclear. I removed the wrinkles in the liner as we filled. After completely full of water, I removed all the top rails and stretch the excess liner removing the remaining wrinkles. (make sure your pool is 100% level if you remove the top rails!) We were missing 2 of the 6 hose clamps. The top rails are very sharp and the caps do not fully cover the inside corners... I cover the sharp inside edges with 3M auto vinyl edging. The sand filter unit does not come with a prefilter at the pump. I just bought socks for the skimmer basket to catch the finer material... It took 3 days for my wife and I to complete the whole installation. It was very hard work. Building a deck beside it will come soon. Watch all the youtube vids you can! Make the pad as level as possible. I used 2x4s screwed together and a 4 ft level on top. It needs 12 blocks sunk in the ground also being level with each other and the pad. I used 1.5 ton of compacted stone dust for the pad (keeps the weeds and crawldads from poking the liner). I also used foam coping for the inside base corner, purchased seperatly. The half a ton of sand followed by a felt pad. ... show more

  • Very happy with this pool.
Size: 18' Style: Phoenix
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I had a smaller build it yourself pool and it was time for an upgrade. I wanted something that had actual sturdy sides because we have dogs. We read a lot of reviews and were prepared with 3 adults to help build it. As we unrolled the side we put chairs around the inside to help avoid it falling over and it worked great. The track was a bit tough. Directions didn’t explain to leave a little space on each track so we had to roll it back up and start over when we got to the end and it overlapped by inches. Also the instructions could have been more clear about leaving the black piece on the liner and then adding the other pieces over top. The ladder was missing a piece so we never put it together. Luckily we had a ladder from the old pool. Now that it’s built I love it! The same filter was an upgrade with our old one being 0.3hp and the new being 0.5hp and the difference is night and day. It has so much more power and is working well. I have already recommended the pool to others. ... show more

  • Great Pool! Purchase from different seller
Size: 21' Style: Phoenix
The pool itself is great. Easy to assemble, wife and I completed it in a few days working 2 hours a day. We had prepped the area prior to ordering. Pool is sturdy and seems like it will last. Good value for the money. The reason why I gave 3 stars is because we had multiple problems with the company. We started off with the pool arriving a week late (not a huge problem). Then we realized that they shipped a 15ft wall for a 21ft pool. Here is where it goes downnhill. I tried to call multiple times and was told the person I needed to talk to would call me back. Well he never did. Each time I called I was told he was in a meeting, with another customer, etc. You get the idea. So I wrote and email explaining the problem. He replied asking for pictures of the box lables. I sent the pictures and he said the box could be labeled wrong. I told him I already opened it and this was not the case. He tells me he will look into the matter with the shipping department to see what happened but they were short handed and it would take a few days. He should have apologized and shipped a new one out. I don't care what went wrong in the shipping department. I wait a few days and nothing. I finally write and email telling him to ship out a new one by the end of the day or come pick up his pool and issue a refund. He shipped the correct wall out by the end of the day. Then I noticed the skimmer was the wrong size for the cutout. Emailed and eventually received the correct one a little over a week later. Pool is great, company not so much. I would purchase from another seller. ... show more

  • Best purchase ever
Size: 21' Style: Phoenix
Absolutely love this pool. Only thing is, we tried to install with 4 adults, but we live on water with no trees and it was impossible. Paid extra to have it installed. We did upgrade the liner to a thicker liner. Well worth it.

  • Great pool kit
Size: 18' Style: Phoenix
This works great and looks amazing. My only thing is do NOT set this up if its windy at all!!!! Also it took 6 adults to set this up. It was easy to set up you just need a lot of hands to hold the side walls up. We ended up using extra metal fence posts from our horse fence and metal clamps to help hold it up while we assembled it. I definitely recommend buying the extra gorilla padding for the floor of the pool and you definitely need to buy the coves for the bottom of the liner or you are asking for holes/rips in the liner. I didn't like the vacuum head that came with it so I did buy another one. The one that comes with it works I am just picky and wanted something that slides across the pool liner better. The pump system works amazing and I'm very happy with that. ... show more

  • Everything is broken!
Size: 15' Style: Phoenix
Busted ladder Broken filter. Bent pool frame Missing hardware I am extremely disappointed with this. To start I was sent the kit and the ladder came in a box that was sliced opened and taped back up. When I opened the ladder box the top step was shattered and other peices broken. There weren't enough screws or hose clamps. The directions are terrible. And the assembly is process is argues. If it wasn't for YouTube I don't know how I would have completed this set up. I get everything done and fill the pool. I get the filter that comes with it hooked up and ran it ONE time. There are cracks in the multipor valve assembly. Cracks where the inlet and outlets are. I hand tightened everything. It's not like I wrenched everything down with special tools. I even use thread sealant as an extra step on top of the thread tape to prevent leaks and allow it to assemble easily. Busted ladder Broken filter. Bent pool frame Missing hardware. I contacted them a week ago about the ladder and still haven't gotten a replacement. This kit is too good to be true. Poor quality. Would not recommend. ... show more
