    • Bigger than I thought

This pool was easy to setup. I managed to complete it by myself within 30 minutes, if that. It’s the perfect size for our backyard. However, we just noticed there is a leak somewhere on the bottom of the pool. Can’t see from where so we’re going to have to drain the pool to fix.

    • Almost Perfect

We set this pool up in mid July 2018, and just now took it down, Sept. 1, 2018. We live in East County, San Diego, and our summers are pretty brutal. That said, this was a wonderful choice for our grandchildren, whom we watch during the days, to cool off from the heat of summer, and have some fun with pool floats, Super Soakers, and the like. With the use of a chlorine float dispenser and an Intex pump/filter, the water stayed crystal clear and within reasonable pool test kit limits. This pool is a nice size for kids and a couple of adults to get in and splash around and have fun. It is sturdy, and not too awfully difficult to put together. My wife and I assembled it in about an hour or so. We set it up on a cement porch, which is not PERFECTLY level, and had no disasters. I think this pool is small enough to be able to get away with that. A couple of criticisms; this pool is not the easiest pool in the world to drain. The drain plug could be an inch or two lower, because once the water level is below it, there's still A LOT OF WATER LEFT! I tried to use our pump/filter to siphon out the remaining water, but that was a no go. The instructions say to lift the pool from one side to send the remaining water to the drain side, but this seemed to me to be something that would put way too much stress on the liner and frame. I'm a fairly strong guy, and it was pretty tough to lift one end of the pool with the remaining water. So, it was time for some good old fashioned BAILING with buckets! We did this for a bit, and got much of the rest of the water out, and then, I HAD AN IDEA! We partially disassembled the pool on the side where we wanted the water to drain, and that did the trick! We were then able to raise the pool lengthwise, and dump out the remaining water without much effort nor stress to the pool's liner and fabric. Another quibble, which others have also noted, is that some of the metal support pieces have begun to rust after only using the pool for a couple of months. We will paint these with some Rustoleum before storing, but the original paint job should have precluded the need for this. Otherwise, this is a very family friendly, easy on the pocket book pool! Set up is manageable. You can build it on your own, but I recommend phoning a friend. Build is stable once done. Take down is also super easy. Bought this for a one day event so it was built and taken down same day. Longest part of the process was emptying it out. Building it took me an hour but I was in no rush, so I really took my time. Same thing for the breakdown, probably less than a 30 minute process and then the time it took to empty it out via the valve [ I didn't have the space to just dump it out, so it had to actually come out using the valve thing only]. ... show more
