  • A great wading pool but make sure you do it correctly!
Size: 10ft x 30in
Other reviews gave us a lot of help so I’ll try to list our my lessons learned but definitely look for other reviews that may give even more help. It takes a few hours to set up and fill but as long as you take care of it and have the proper equipment, it should give you a lot of fun. Some basic highlights to start: 1) It is only 2 feet of water! It says 30 inches but the last 6 inches are the bumper. A “real pool” for 5 and 6 year olds. Decent splashing pool for elementary school. Any older and its more of a wading pool. You can fit a couple of floating and lay on it or sit down and cool off but it’s definitely not an adult pool. Its inflatable, what do you want! :) 2) 10 feet in diameter plus you need clearance for the pump, to walk around, enough distance away from any outlets so make sure you measure 3) You have to put in an absolutely flat surface. Its not rigid and literally kept in shape by the water pressure so if its on a big slope, it will not end well. Our patio is probably a tad downhill and we can see the water is probably a inch lower on one side. Not a big deal at all but imagine more of a slope! 4) You need equipment. Its not a toy wading pool you blow up with your mouth and then forget. But its tons of fun and a nice way to cool off (especially this summer given the social distancing concerns). So what you need: 1) Pool 2) Pool cover (make sure its the same diameter). Otherwise you could be skimming a lot of junk out of the pool every morning 3) 1000 gph pump. I read many reviews that said it has to be 1000 gph for a pool of this size. There are some Intex sets that come with a pump but its underpowered. So I got a separate one. It comes with all the hoses you need 4) Skimmer for all the crud that falls in the pool 5) Chlorine/Ph testing kit. Small strips that you dip in the water like for a fish tank, Very helpful 6) A floater that you can put in tablets 7) Chlorine. 3” tablets are too strong as the pool is only about 1100 gals. I got these and they will probably last a couple of summers! Just put in for a a few minutes and then test the water. Once its reached optimal levels, take it out and put in again when you need it. Or get 1” pellets. Much better for a pool of this size 8) Arm & Hammer Pool Maintenance. Maintains pool Ph and alkalinity. These dissolve quickly within a few minutes. Maybe once every 1 or 2 weeks? 9) tarp for under the pool Could run you a few hundred dollars by the time you get everything. There are videos on YouTube on how to set up the pool and I strongly recommend watching them. Its pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. The bumper around the edge is inflated with air. If you don’t have an electric pump, get one. You can’t use your mouth and a manual pump will take a long long time. The sides are held up by the water inside the pool. They are not inflated so they aren’t for sitting or resting on. If you do, it will push down and the water will flood out. It will take 2 - 3 hours to fill the pool with a hose. One last thing. You’ll likely need a way to get in and out of the pool. An adult can just step over the sides and you can lift little ones but if you are in elementary school and you want them to get in and out on their own, you’ll need a ladder of some sort. You can buy official pool ladders but they are expensive. We used metal 2 or 3 step foldable step-ladders that we bought at Costco for our closets. I put one inside the pool and it worked perfectly. Outside, I just put a patio bench alongside the edge so the kids could get in and out easily. I put a photo of the step ladder we used and how we used a patio bench. ... show more

  • Awesome pool -- but don't forget the pump!
Size: 10ft x 30in
I LOVE this pool. It is my 3rd one. The first was a 6-foot pool. It was too small for the kids to play, plus have the parents join in. Bought the 10-foot pool with a filter/pump a few years ago, and loved it. Unfortunately, carpenter ants ate through the liner and inflatable ring at the top while I had it in storage (I was surprised that ants would eat through such thick material). So, I just bought this one to replace my previous one. I didn't need the pump/filter since I still have my previous one. The pool is very easy to setup: 1. Find a somewhat level ground and remove debris (so it doesn't puncture the liner) 2. Stretch out the liner floor so it doesn't have creases 3. Inflate the ring 4. Connect the pump, if you're using one (I highly recommend you do) 5. Fill with water to the desired height One of the things I really like about this pool is that you can choose how deep to make it, since the ring will float to whatever height you fill the water to. For example, you could add just about 8 inches for a baby, 15 inches for a toddler, 25 inches for a child, etc. NOTE: This pool DOES NOT come with a pump/filter. If you don't already have one, then I recommend either finding the same pool with pump/filter for just a few more dollars, or buy the pump/filter separately. MAINTENANCE: You'll probably want to run the pump for just a few hours per day (I run mine about 3-4 hours per day). I also have the paper strips that I dip in the water to check it's PH balance, chlorine levels, etc. in one shot (colors change with chemical levels). I have never had to adjust anything except add chlorine. I use the small chlorine tablets (about the size of large gumball) and float them in a home-made dispenser. The dispenser is just two Gatorade bottles tied together with a string -- one with holes drilled through so the water can dissolve the chlorine tablet; the other is empty and sealed tight so it floats. The bottle with the holes sinks just about 6 inches below the surface. You should also invest in a pool cover for about $15 here. It keeps debris out of the pool (the filter pump won't pickup floating or sunk debris; it just cleanses the water). It also helps warm the water (I imagine the solar cover for $30 does this much better), and it makes the chlorine last a lot longer. Without the cover, I was adding chlorine about every 3-4 days. With the cover I'm doing it about every 7 days (I guess chlorine evaporates when directly exposed to the sun?). CAUTION: Do NOT leave the pool cover laying on your lawn -- the sun will heat up the cover and cook your lawn in less than an hour! This happened to me. Now I put the cover in the shed when the pool is open. Overall, this is a WONDERFUL pool for kids (although it's not big enough to actually "swim" in it), at a very low cost. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Would Be Perfect With the Pump
Size: 10ft x 30in
The instructions say between 10-30 minutes for water. I started at 7am getting the ground ready. You have to be thorough. The ground looked clear but I discovered two small rocks after filling the pool. I'd recommend going over the area with a fine rake. This pool does not come with a ground cloth so I used two 9 x 12 painter's tarps anchored with bricks to protect the bottom of the pool. I plugged up the drain holes and laid out the pool so it could get filled with air. Working by myself it took about thirty minutes. Since the instructions strongly advise against the electric pump I opted for a foot pump that I already had. No dice. I pumped for almost thirty minutes and the ring would not inflate. My foot pump works fine, but the air hole is big and I didn't have any attachments. I decided to cut my losses and bought the pump specifically designed for Intex products nearby. Around 10:30 I came back and blew up the ring in less than five minutes. Then I straightened the liner and made the final adjustments to where the pool will be. Don't worry too much about getting every wrinkle. It'll be easier to straighten after an inch or so of water is in the pool. After six inches I walked around the inside and pushed the remainder of the wrinkles out with my foot. Then I started filling. There is a very slight incline in the back of the yard. I didn't think it was bad enough to warrant leveling. Indeed, it is about half an inch uneven that's barely noticeable once the pool is fully filled. In all it took 2 hours to fill and was ready for swimming around 12:30pm. The pool is a modest size; bigger than a wading pool but smaller than one of those silver above-ground pools. I'm 5'10''. The water came to my knees while standing. Once I sat it came to the middle of my chest. My nephew (7) sat and was up to his chin easily. We could both float and swim around the pool comfortably. I think that it could comfortably accommodate four adults my size sitting and scooting around to get cool. If you actually wanted to swim in a circle two adults could. It's worth saying that this pool did not come with a pump. Do not let the pictures or reviews fool you. This pool does not come with a filter pump. I say this because I saw the same exact Intex Pool with the pump for $10 less than I paid for it here when I went to get the air pump. Yes I kicked myself, but I also learned something. You can find this pool for this price with the pump. So far I'm happy with the pool. It's surprisingly durable and my nephew absolutely loves it. I think I'll sell it at the end of the season, though, if only so I can buy the model with the pump next year. If you already have a pump and am looking for just a replacement pool for it I'd recommend this one. If you're a newbie like me and looking for a starter pool this one is a good size. Just make sure it has the pump or your comfortable paying for a pump separately. ... show more

  • Love this pool!
Size: 10ft x 30in
This is a great pool! This is puncture resistant for sure! My sheepadoodle goes in and out anytime he wants! I had ones before and he punctured holes. Get a bigger pump. I can drain it easy by pushing on the side. I had this pool since summer 25. Stayed up through winter (NC). I added air to the ring maybe 5 times since I got it in 2025. Unfortunately I put it on half cement without pad and wore a hole. Getting another pool a little bigger and definitely getting a pad! This pool is so simple to maintain! I never had a pool before so I learn as I go! Get this pool! ... show more

  • Faulty seam
Size: 10ft x 30in
first one I got last year was great. This one has a seam leak that can't be fixed and I'm not sending it back. Would like money back because I live in a drought area and the cost of the water I put in is very expensive. Too much trouble to rebox a pool. The seam is leaking and can't be patched. Can't get any help for anyone about this purchase either. ... show more

  • You should buy a pump/filter too
Size: 10ft x 30in
Great price, please note I purchased without the filter pump combo. I now realize that may have been a mistake to keep this pool nice and crystal clear. But I paid $55 and it's thick and a really good size! The kids love it!

  • Nice pool, Needs extra hose or filter to use!
Size: 10ft x 30in
Pool looks and performs as it should. Unfortunately, I thought one 9r this size required a pump/filter system and it does. You can not just set and fill this pool due to the inlets & outlets. All the water would leak out and the flimsy plugs will not hold all 3 holes leak free. Shipping was advertised as 1-day(2hr 35min. From home address). Item came 2-day and after 5pm. If you have extra hose you can connect them together to use the pool right away without a pump. Which is what we did since our Hayward pump is far too big for tge smaller pool size. ... show more

  • Read this for all my protips. No need to level entire ground.
Size: 10ft x 30in
I see a lot of reviews of people spending a lot of money to completely level their ground that the pool sits on. I found that you do not need to level the entire ground, just the pool edges. I used about 3 bags of sand to compensate with a a half ring of 4" incline around the edges of half the pool. I also used leftover 2x4s and 4x4 pieces about 1 and 2 feet long to make the base of this and then cover with sand. You could use all sand but the wood saved a few bags. Once that was level, In order to get long life and lots of fun and clean eater out of this in super hot heat and sun, I do a few things: First is you need to let some air out of the ring when it gets so hot it bulges. If you don't it will develop holes. Second is you should get a cheap canopy umbrella to put over it to shield from heat which also keeps it from turning to bath water and no need for sunscreen. Those are around $80 on Amazon. For keeping the water crystal clear all summer I get extra filters and I regularly take them out and blast them with a high pressure nozzle from hose. Eventually you have to replace but I get about a month or so from each filter doing this. I get a fine screen pool skimmer and I get in the pool and swirl it around and create a whirlpool. This moves all heavier debris and sand to the bottom center of the pool. I then use some 1/2" tubing an create a siphon and I "vacuum" the areas of the bottom of the pool where the debris collects. Yes you'll lose a few gallons each time but you'll have a perfectly clear pool too. Keep a fitted cover on it at night and when it's windy. Lastly, I use same chlorine from my spa which is $30. Half a container is enough for the summer if you are good about doing the filtering and cleaning process regularly. Have a vinyl pool patch kit on hand. You'll have to use it. I get leaks regularly. I don't use a pool more than 2 summers. At $50 -$100 a summer it's a lot cheaper than other options and a lot of fun and great way to cool off and take a dip on hot nights or after runs. ... show more
