I’ve had the pool for a month and it has been wonderful. First, I highly recommend the sand filter as opposed to the regular filter that comes with other pools. It is worth the money. This pool package 18’x9’ came with the sand filter so all the tubing was the correct sizing which was important to me as I don’t want to have to go out and get extra of what I need. I purchased the $5 pool sand at Home Depot (50 lb bag) and had way more than needed. I placed the leftover in a 5 gal bucket with the lid for use when it needs changing out but I don’t see that in the foreseeable future. It was the correct sand needed for this pump and was the best price. Second, I added the attachable skimmer (separate purchase) that hooks on to the side and it works great with this pool. It was easy to attach and I can add some of the pool chemicals there instead of directly into the pool. I’ve also not noticed any issues with this skimmer being in the way or being moved around like others have noticed. Third, I took the advise of another reviewer and purchased the padding from harbor freight for under the pool. It is about 8.99 for four pieces that fit together like a puzzle. I bought 10 for this pool and ended up only needing 9 packages. I used the last package for under the ladder on the outside and under the pool pump. These were absolutely the best. It is extremely comfortable to the feet inside the pool. I cleared and leveled our area but as I learned with a past pool experience any small branch or rock under the liner will be felt by your feet inside the pool when thousands of gallons push the liner down. I used tape to keep the cushions together and had no problems. Finally, the ladder is a bit flimsy. We don’t have anyone over 170 lbs in our family so we didn’t get a bigger ladder but I have had others over who are and I was a bit nervous but it worked fine with someone over 220. I do intend to get sandbags or something to hold the ladder in place since it moves around a lot and is annoying but it is narrow, so if you have hips you will have to straddle the ladder into and out of the pool or risk getting stuck. Also, we purchased this pool due to the dimensions of our yard so it turns out to be great for little mini laps. I love that. But it is rather tall so keep in mind if you have no deck you will only have that narrow ladder for a means of getting in and out of this pool. ... show more

We are really enjoying this pool. It is sturdy and great size for swimming across the pool (mini lap) or in a circle. Or just floating around relaxing. Can fit a group of people for volleyball or just playing. The pool did not arrive when expected, not that that’s a huge deal but the company could have notified us, we had to contact them. Did arrive in a large box with components separately boxed inside, everything intact. Very thorough instructions plus a video which are both helpful. It takes longer than the suggested time to set up, with 3 people it took us several hours. That doesn’t count filling the pool which took almost a day (during daytime) of course it is a larger pool to fill. We also bought interlocking foam pads to put under the pool as we set our pool up on a cement patio. Makes the bottom nice and cushioned, and hopefully will preserve the lining. The salt and sand filtration system works very well. Our water (from a well) looked pretty yellow when we initially filled the pool, I was unsure that the filter could clear all that up but after the initial clean cycle the water has been crystal clear. Sand and salt need to be purchased separately. We needed about 25 more pounds than the instructions called for - Probably the water hardness. We didn’t find pool sand but used a fine construction grade sand which we were concerned was not appropriate. The sand did back up a bit in the pool at first but now is fine. Ours came with a vacuum kit which works but is a slow process to clean up. You have to hover over sand etc to pick it up. We live in Minnesota and the pool is now around 80-84 degrees, when we first filled it it was around 76. We do not have a heater or solar cover, we plan to get a solar cover. The pool gets nice and warm at the top with the regular cover on. The ladder is kind of rickety but it works. The pool cover falls in the pool sometimes. Otherwise it’s great and we’re really enjoying the pool, the water is nice and clean without the chlorine. ... show more

Site prep is key, I worked on this for two days and was still slightly off and had to make some last minute adjustments. My ground was out of level by 3 inches so I had to dig down some of my footers to make the sides level but got it within one inch in the end. I knocked off one star due to it not coming with a skimmer or sand for the filter. After I dropped $2000 on this kit I was not pleased to be ordering more parts, the sand and skimmer are only $20 ea. but I think it should have come with the kit. The pump is under powered for this size pool but it will work until next year when I'm going to upgrade it. I put it up with help from the wife but it was not in 90 minutes like advertised. Between site prep and filling the pool I took a week off from work. I still have some finish work to do but for now it's up and running for the kids. ... show more
