  • Great pool, easy set up, easy to maintain Great pool, easy set up, easy to maintain
Size: 18 ft x 48 in Configuration: Pool
Great pool. Instructional video was very helpful in showing proper set up. All parts were included, and it was set up within two days. Our water pressure is pretty weak, so it took a full two days to fill. I cleaned out the filter every other day, just used a pressure nozzle on my hose to clean it up. I also ordered replacement filters from amazon for the rest of the summer use. I did need to buy pool chemicals from a pool store to learn how to properly keep the water balanced, but I have no prior experience with Pools, so the store helped me greatly. I definitely recommend running the pool pump overnight to keep the water moving and brooming the bottom of the pool a couple times a week. More if it’s used heavily. Upgrade the pool pump if you can, might make keeping the water cleaner, but bc of Covid and high demand for pools, I was not able to get one. Having said that, however the pump that came with the pool kept the water clean and clear. After summer, we cleaned it and folded it up and managed to get it back in the original box . We did need to use a diluted bleach solution on the underside of the pool, rinse it well, than allow to dry in the sun. Sprinkled talc powder and folded it up. The ground tarp that comes with the pool had to be thrown out, it smelled too bad from sitting on wet grass and mud for 3 months. ... show more

  • Great for the kids, nice for parents. Great for the kids, nice for parents.
I purchased the Intel 15ft×42" Easy set for the family. The setup was not bad. I watched the provided instructional DVD and my kids helped unpack and set up the pool. Don't try to set it up alone, it is much easier to have at least another person with you if not two. The pictures reflect the con of the pool, which is my fault for not taking extra time to level the ground (will do next season) Pro: Easy to set up with assistance (it could be done solo, but seriously is much easier when you have one or two others to help carry and roll out, as well as walk in the pool as it fills to make sure level of ground is accurate. Pro: Great pool for families, we opted for this depth because of the youngest child. Take into account the inflatable portion is 6" when inflated, so the water depth is only 36" compared to the pool height of 42". Con: One thing I didn't do because we recieved and were setting this up during a heat wave, was take into count making sure the ground is level. (Yes, they said it on the DVD and have it stated in the written instructions, but I wanted to get it set up as quickly as possible in the heat wave to relieve the kids. So I take full responsibility of having a slightly of level pool this season. ) So I implore future purchasers to level the ground and lay sand in the area of where you want to set up the pool. Sand will help with leveling as well as cushion your feet so you DO NOT feel every divot in your lawn. Con: The ladder is hard for adults to climb down when getting out of pool, due to the fact that it hugs the side of the pool not giving much area for foot on step. ... show more

  • Great if your willing to put in the effort Great if your willing to put in the effort
Size: 18 ft x 48 in Configuration: Pool
This is my 4th purchase of this pool in the last 6 years. My first time through Amazon (usually through Academy). It is holding up well and I have 11 grand kids that give it a run for it's money all summer long. There are pros and cons on different pieces of this pool. The pool (body) itself is sturdy, easy to set up and the inflatable ring works to keep the pool balanced. It must be level to start with. I put a load of sand under mine and then spray weed killer on the sand and a foot around the circumference the day before I set up the pool (nut grass can grow up through the liner.) You must clean under the inflatable rim on a weekly basis, however, to keep algae and debris from gathering under it. Just hand the kids a regular kitchen sponge and have them go around and scrub under the rim a couple of times a week. Prevention is way easier than trying to get rid of yucky stuff later. You MUST learn how to take care of the water if you want anypool to stay swimable and quite honestly the pumps that come with this one are not so good, especially if you live somewhere hot like I do (Texas.) In my opinion and experience, the pump that comes with this pool does not turn the water over enough even if you run it longer than the suggested run time. I upgraded my pump to a Hayward AG pump 3 years ago and mine stays crystal clear. A good test kit can be your savior and test (available here on Amazon about $17) the water at least every two days. Do not let the pool stores talk you into tons of chemicals either. Get the conditioner on the opening up and then just make sure the chlorine and PH stay in a good level. A good help place is[...] These guys are very helpful and their advice is free. I own a catfish pool vacuum and it is great for getting junk that settles on the bottom. The pool does not come with a vacuum, skimmer or net. You will need these things if you want the pool to stay clean and last the entire, or more than one season. The ladders get a little weakened as well if you have heavier people in your family and if your grand kids don't mind and jump off of it constantly. All in all this pool is worth the money and is good quality. It is worth the $ to me. Don't think, however that you are just going to set it up and be done with it. It does require work and daily diligence to keep it sparkling. PS Intex's customer service SUCKS! ... show more

  • Excellent pool Excellent pool
Size: 18 ft x 48 in Configuration: Pool
I love this pool. Set it up late in the season (July) and used it many times during this summer to make my purchase completely worth it. I have heavy iron in my well water in my area and filled the pool with the hose. After adding the necessary and specific balance of pool chemicals for my water situation, and changing and washing the filters (I bought extra filters) the water was crystal clear and amazing after about 2 weeks of daily attention. At first I changed and washed the filters every other day and then 1x per week for the rest of the season. I put extra tarps around the pool, tacked the tarps down, kept them washed and put a netting pool cover for bugs and debris. The cover that comes with the pool is fine but difficult for me to manage on my own. I also bought a vacuum for the pool to get the extra iron sediment that settled to the bottom. I have had no problems with this pool at all and the filter works great because of my discipline of changing and washing the filter, and staying on a cleaning and pool chemical schedule. The pool is large enough (18') for me to float around on my raft with my cocktail and exercise daily. I'll pack this pool away in the fall and look forward to setting it up year after year. Will probably invest in a heater for next season to extend my season since I live in the north. This year for about $200 more dollars in accessories this pool turned out to be a gem. A very economical, fun way to have your own pool. ... show more

  • Seams leaking water in multiple places...drain, re-pack everything & wait weeks for replacement
Size: 18 ft x 48 in Configuration: Pool
After 3 days spent leveling and making the perfect place in our backyard for this pool, it got delivered late Friday night so we didn't get a chance to get it set up until Saturday morning. We had soccer all afternoon so we all worked hard in the morning to get this laid out, the hoses set up and followed the instructions to a tee. We even did a level check again after an inch of water and all 3 of our boys and I were so proud that it was perfect. We left for soccer games to come a few hours later to water all over the ground outside and under the pool. There must be a hole or two or three in one of the middle seams as water just keeps leaking out from the bottom of the pool in a few spots around the outside with no obvious bubbles so we have no way of knowing where exactly the water is coming from. Needless to say we have 3 very unhappy boys and one very unhappy mommy as now we have to drain all this water (WHAT A WASTE!), dry everything off, roll it up and try and re-pack it into a box to be shipped back. I'm beyond frustrated and so disappointed as we have now wasted days, time, energy, money and water on this thing just to have to send it back...not to mention we had prime shipping on the original package but now wont get the replacement until close to the end of the month! As our first big Amazon purchase I can say I'm less than satisfied. ... show more

  • Intex 18’ Pool
Size: 18 ft x 48 in Configuration: Pool
The Pool was easy to set up. Would recommend a sand filter & Pump rather than the basic filter element & pump that came with it. Also get a pool vacume because the bottom of pool will need to be vacuumed periodically. Also very very important the top float ring that you inflate it is important to keep it wiped down with a protectant like Armor All or 2000 protectant to keep it from getting sun baked. My pool almost lasted two summers but I did not keep the float ring wiped down with UV protectant. My float ring started getting pin holes in the float ring because the sun baked it. If you don’t want to deal with this maintenance I would recommend not purchasing this pool. The instructions don’t tell you to use UV protectant, instructions only say to keep it wiped and this definately will not keep it from getting sun baked and tiny pin holes start appearing causing it to deflate and you loose a lot of water when that happens. I had 20 holes in my float ring and found that only Automotive urethane would seal and stick to the pin holes. Finally before this summer was up I gave up on repairing pin holes and took a razor knife and cut the pool into manageable pieces and hauled it to the dumpster. ... show more

  • Great pool
Size: 18 ft x 48 in Configuration: Pool
Great quality pool. Started last summer with a Walmart $99 15ft and upgraded to this. The quality here is much better, the sides are very thick, not thin vinyl, the seams are great, the whole set up was super duper easy (level level level the ground! or you will regret it!) We got ours almost level, but it was fine, next year we will perfect the level. The pool was amazing, fit our family of 6 (2 adults and kids ages 16,15,9,7) no problem, we swim laps around it, kids love it. The ladder is somewhat wobbly and difficult to get in/out of when you are old (I'm only 36) but kids have no problem. We also bought a sand filter and the pool was crystal clear entire summer, we only had to shock it once for algae. Took about 24 hours to fill, 4 days to empty by hose siphon method. We used 3" chlorine tablets in the filter. Next year probably upgrading to saltwater filter. Thanks! ... show more

  • Good enough for the money, I guess.
I was able to set up the pool by myself, but it took some time and effort. Recommend two people. The directions could be a little clearer in terms of parts installation. The filter manual could also be a little clearer, especially with parts that may or may not be needed. The top air inflated ring seems to lose a little air over time...I filled it up a couple times already in 2 weeks. The filter itself is very basic, but seems to move water around. If it gets me through one season, that's all I really expect for the money. Would not look forward to setting up again after storing during the winter. Not really a great pool for adults, but better for toddlers with floatation devices. You will need to buy chemicals and monitor the water. The cover is a nice option, however, the string inside the cover to tighten has already ripped about 12" of the cover. It's not the best quality by any means, but I guess it's better than nothing. I like the fact that a tarp is provided for ground cover, would be nice if it was precut to match the round pool. We have to cut it. ... show more
