Easy set up, no air or water leaks. Top air ring doesn’t seem to need topped off yet after being setup for 6 days. It is a perfect backyard swimming pool big enough for a family of 5 to enjoy together without being on top of each other. The hard part is working out any wrinkles (2 people) as your filling the pool. Next year when I put it back up I will open it up and let it set in the sun for a bit before starting to fill and smooth wrinkles. I bought a 15 mil tarp to go under the tarp that comes with it before even seeing the supplied tarp because of reviews. So glad I did because the supplied tarp is very thin and hardly a tarp in my opinion. The pool steps are basic, but functional. Very pleased with the purchase so far. ... show more

This is my 4th purchase of this pool in the last 6 years. My first time through Amazon (usually through Academy). It is holding up well and I have 11 grand kids that give it a run for it's money all summer long. There are pros and cons on different pieces of this pool. The pool (body) itself is sturdy, easy to set up and the inflatable ring works to keep the pool balanced. It must be level to start with. I put a load of sand under mine and then spray weed killer on the sand and a foot around the circumference the day before I set up the pool (nut grass can grow up through the liner.) You must clean under the inflatable rim on a weekly basis, however, to keep algae and debris from gathering under it. Just hand the kids a regular kitchen sponge and have them go around and scrub under the rim a couple of times a week. Prevention is way easier than trying to get rid of yucky stuff later. You MUST learn how to take care of the water if you want anypool to stay swimable and quite honestly the pumps that come with this one are not so good, especially if you live somewhere hot like I do (Texas.) In my opinion and experience, the pump that comes with this pool does not turn the water over enough even if you run it longer than the suggested run time. I upgraded my pump to a Hayward AG pump 3 years ago and mine stays crystal clear. A good test kit can be your savior and test (available here on Amazon about $17) the water at least every two days. Do not let the pool stores talk you into tons of chemicals either. Get the conditioner on the opening up and then just make sure the chlorine and PH stay in a good level. A good help place is[...] These guys are very helpful and their advice is free. I own a catfish pool vacuum and it is great for getting junk that settles on the bottom. The pool does not come with a vacuum, skimmer or net. You will need these things if you want the pool to stay clean and last the entire, or more than one season. The ladders get a little weakened as well if you have heavier people in your family and if your grand kids don't mind and jump off of it constantly. All in all this pool is worth the money and is good quality. It is worth the $ to me. Don't think, however that you are just going to set it up and be done with it. It does require work and daily diligence to keep it sparkling. PS Intex's customer service SUCKS! ... show more

Easy set up. I was able to set up the 18x48 pool on my own. Went up even. I am not using the filter that came with it. Honestly it's crap. But I am using the sand filter that came with the ultra set pool we had (unfortunate incident with field mice in our shed destroyed my ultra set pool this season) Sand filter works great with it. I do have some concerns about the new design of the filter hook ups to the pool. Long term use i can see it will probably put stress on the liner. So I'm not sure how many seasons we will get minus any mice incidents... The debris cover was missing when we received the pool but amazon quickly remedied the issue. I ordered this $450 pool. It came and paid someone to deliver sand and paid to set it up ( I wasn’t capable). Noticed cover was not packaged like pool, ladder and pump. That’s because it was stuffed in box from and obvious return with a big jagged rip in it. I have spent many hrs and calls to intex and Amazon who I bought it from with same run around from both of we can not help you call intex and intex states same thing that they were not seller call Amazon. I order EVERY thing daily from Amazon and this has been the biggest joke and most disqusting customer service I have EVER dealt with. Do NOT order ANYTHING not sold by Amazon as you will be screwed royally and they absolutely WILL NOT stand by the product they had no problem taking your money for. ALL I asked for was a replacement cover and I would put the torn one back in box and send back but they Amazon said no will not do and it’s MY problem to get Intex to replace. That was said by a supposed Supervisor. I tell you people DONT DO IT. I am so sick over the money I gave them, the sand and installation to have a pool full of leaves and sticks every time the wind blows and ALL I wanted was what I paid for my pool cover. They are pathetic……it would not let me rate 0 as that is my rating… ... show more

I never opened do to financial issues I had to return, Never opened. Was almost big issue with responding back to Homegoods in re turning this item, But finally got my credit back to Amazon on this item. Only reason to return was financially didn’t need at the time.
