This pool is a great value! I bought the 15x42 and it was easy to set up by myself. Took about an hour to be ready for water. Fill up took about 8 hours. The ground cloth seems thin but made from durable feeling material, I removed all rocks and debris (most grass was dead from trampoline on that spot). It should help prevent grass growing through the bottom of the pool. The ladder was very easy to assemble and is sturdy. The pump works great but I'm just using it until the converter pieces come in to switch to a sand filter pump. The cover is good but difficult for me to take off by myself. I put it on quickly before a big rain storm and the pull string broke through the material, it does not have reinforced holes where the strings come out so when you pull tight it tears through the holes. Still worked though so I'm not bothered with that. The cover has vent holes in it and I'm not sure why. It defeats the purpose of covering for rain. I guess it serves more of a purpose to catch debris. When taking the cover off it had a lot of water on it from the vent holes so I pulled it off water became trapped in the folds and made it heavy. Next time I will pull from one end and not try to fold as I go. It had 1 very tiny leak (size of a needle)I found after it was filled with water so I put my finger on the hole from the inside of the pool to dry the outside and put a small patch on it. Thank goodness it comes with patches. So far my kids absolutely love it! I wish I had a pool like this when I was a kid.

I’ve had this pool for a few days now and so far, so good. Some minor issues: I’ve had to adjust the filter a few times already due to air getting trapped in it. I also set up the pool on uneven ground but it’s holding up alright considering. I recommend making sure the ground is level before setting it up. The setup was hard work but not bad and it was easy to figure out. The ladder is difficult for heavy set people to use. It is the perfect size pool and great quality material. I am hoping it will last throughout the summer and years to come!

I hesitated for 40 years of ever putting a pool up. My grandkids finally talked me into it this year and I am glad I did. I know these are pools that will last a few years only, but it seems to be well built, and the pump does a fine job contrary to many other reviews. Update: pool lasted 4 seasons before I was scared to put it up again for fear of a blowout. Even still, I just ordered another and I think a hundred bucks a year isn't bad for the kids to be able to swim.... Good product.

Based on my two previous Intex pools, I felt confident in the quality of this purchase. The only good thing I can say about the pool is the instructions are clear. * The pool liner is almost translucent and light weight. The sidewalls can not support the filter and return ports. * The provided ground cover is see-through - had to purchase my own * The pump is undersized, has no on/off switch, and lacks a baffle system to block water when changing the filter * The pump return port has no directional valve - it discharges straight into the pool providing no circulation in the pool * The filter 'o' ring gasket does not fit, and the seal leaks * The metal frame is light weight, and started to rust the day after construction * The ladder is insubstantial, the handles are too short for adults, and, it also started to rust the next day In short, the product materials are sub-par. I question whether the pool will last until the end of the summer. I request a full refund. I can not recommend the pool, nor any Intex product. Sincerely, Eugene Diou

This is my first Intex with the frame. My last one was the easy set up. The directions were easy in putting the pool together. I’m glad I asked my neighbor boy to help me, however. The part I needed him most was when it was time to connect the legs. It made a huge difference when I lifted the railing where the next leg went following the leg he was connecting. Between the two of us we had it up in less than 30 minutes. It did take nearly 13 hours to fill and I was in it the following day. Cold water and all. Two days later, however, I woke up, got my suit on and went outside to find half the pool water gone. Come to find out one of the hoses from the pump fell off so ai filled it up again. The pump seems to be adequate for this size pool. Like other reviewers, the ladder is kind of flimsy and caution should be taken when using. I bought a different ladder but that one was worse despite being almost the same price as the pool. My pool isn’t on level ground but it is holding up. If I don’t get a steel frame pool next year, I’ll definitely level it up better come next season. So one week in and I am rather pleased with the purchase. I also bought the Intex rechargeable vacuum which I love. The Intex skimmer comes tomorrow and I will be hooking it up to one of the two intake outlets.

Overall I like this pool set. Definitely a great alternative to building a pool. So why the 3 stars - 1) the tarp is a little flimsy so we bought another one that is more heavy duty and 2) the frame is already showing signs of rust after 3 days of being set up. Having said that for the price it’s a great idea to have for the summer. I already see improvements in my 4 year olds swimming skills after 1 day. We didn’t filll the pool all the way to the max so it goes up to her chin (head tilted up) so I think this gives her confidence.

Great pool kit! The kids love it! They even helped set it up. You just need to add a chlorine floater and pool skimmer, and you will have all the basics to get you going. It was kind of tricky slipping the filter tubes over the O-rings without pushing the rings out of their places, but you only need to fight that battle on the day you set it up, the rest of the summer is just fun!
