Fantastic shade. Honestly considering purchasing another one for the opposite half of the pool for dual shading. It works very well - better than expected. The shade it provides keeps that part of the pool cool. And it's large enough to cover a good area. It has withstood monsoon winds and other weather as long as the mesh window is open for airflow. It is very sturdy. Fantastic value for the cost. Wasn't the most fun to set up, and it was a bit of a pain to take down (for pool maintenance), but otherwise I can't really complain about that. Great while it lasted! I did ziptie tie it to my pool frame so we had no issue with wind or storms. Decently simple setup. Great size and for for 12 circular pool. Good shade and privacy in our yard, BUTTTTT durable for a single season ONLY. Loved it while it lasted but when we went to take it down the material had degraded to the point of shredding everywhere with no possibility of repair. I now see it’s not available or it’s listed for over 100$, not worth that much. ... show more

I put this canopy on a 14 ft pool and it fits great. Easy to put together and install. It has a screened tent window you can open or leave closed. It has two strings you can use to tie it down to the opposite side of the pool to keep the wind from grabbing it. However, if the wind comes from behind the canopy it will collapse into the pool. I came home from work a few days ago after a windy day and it was in the pool. Easy enough to take off the pool for it to dry out and then put back on. This would have been an awesome cover if there was a way to secure it to the pool better. A little wind blew it right off the pool. Made sure to have my husband tighten the screws this time and it did it again. Blew right off. Not really that strong of a wind either. Not an item I’d recommend.

This is the 4th Canopy of this type that I have purchased. I totally love the design. It's easy to set up and generally is able to withstand strong wind and storms through a single summer. They have sometimes collapsed but have not been damaged beyond use. However, the cloth that they are made out of seems to get degraded by the sun over the course of a single season to the point that it eventually rips uncontolably and can't be effectively repaired. ... show more

Bought this sun shade for my 18 foot above ground pool. Took a little work to attach it but once we figured out how to secure the tethers with weights it’s worked great. Now it stays on even in windy conditions. Maybe add instructions to weigh down the strings.

When this shade stays up with no wind its excellent and does the job but the slightest bit of wind comes and the whole thing is sinking in the pool. Not my favorite item. Wish it was stronger and not so flimsy and difficult to take on and off.
