Overall cutting blade is smooth, although unlike metal cutting tap and dies, this is for plastic pvc pipes plenty of strengh to cut the thread on the pvcs, overall built quality is not surperb, however for the cost and what it is used for, its very good alternative.

Very practical this product, because it had to do a job and the truth is very useful and comfortable to work, the thread is soft and fair, there is no water outlet anywhere, it comes with a factory oil for preservation.

I don't understand why this product doesn't work however it will not cut threads on a pvc 40 coupler, and only do the outside threads on a 1/2 inch pvc pipe, disappointed, the internal female threads must of been made for a much thinner coupler, also there is no retention mechanism for holding onto the "bit/die" so it will just fall off if you tilt your drill down a little ... show more
