This immersion heater works as described. I tried it in a medium-sized bucket, and it warmed the water in a reasonable amount of time. The power cord feels sturdy, and the metal part seems well built. I didn’t notice any strange smell or noise while using it. One thing I’d note is to make sure the water level is right and don’t plug it in before it's in the water. It gets hot fast, which is expected. The indicator light is small but useful. I picked this immersion heater mostly to heat water for a quick soak or when my normal heater’s not enough, and it’s been pretty straightforward to use. The rod slips into a bucket or tub, you plug it in, and it warms up in a short time. For days when I want a hot foot soak or just want to warm some bathwater quickly, it does the job without any unnecessary fuss. One thing I noticed: you’ve got to keep the heating element fully submerged and avoid touching the water or rod while it’s on. I made sure to keep the plug and the upper part dry and to unplug it before removing it from the water. It just good habit that make it work safely.
