Have to admit, I thought this product would be the worst one compared to all the heaters I bought. Tried about five heaters to heat my small in-ground pool after a company tried to charge me 10k for a heater for a pool in FL where it would be used less than two months a year. I have to say, this product is the safest so far. It has a temperature gauge that is easy to read where the pool temperature is at and it is accurate since I tested it against a floating thermometer. It also has settings from 70- 175 degrees. This heated my pool by 1-6 degrees at the highest setting in a few hours. I was worried it might burn the lining of the pool, however I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled it out of the water to check if it might burn my hand and the GFI installed on this product tripped and shut down immediately. As soon as I put it back in the water it operated as normal. When I touched the product at the highest temp under water at 175 degrees. It in no way burned my hand as some of the other products did. This did take some time to warm the pool, but the pool was definitely warmer than without it. I do wish the cord was a bit longer to avoid plugging it into an extension cord versus a wall outlet, but if you want something safe, I say go with this product compared to all the other ones I've tested.
