Love this pan! It's great for smaller tasks given it's 7.5 inch diameter. It's a little taller than an egg or omelet pan. The bottom is shaped like those pans, but the sidewalls extend another inch or so above the height of an egg pan. It has the rounded off seam where the sides meet the bottom like an omelet or egg pan, but has the straight vertical sidewall of a saute pan, so it's easier to keep contents and splatter in the pan. The cooking surface inside is kind of the best of both worlds with good nonstick surface pebbled with little tiny stainless steel nubs that are what your spatula slides along the top of when you go to flip a burger or eggs. I will say that it's a bit tricky to use in terms of starting temperature. In a bare stainless steel pan, there's no nonstick coating that can be ruined by high temperatures. The booklet says this pan is oven safe to 300C/572F and I don't doubt that, but that says nothing about how high of a temp it can withstand on a burner. There IS a difference there. From what I've see using this for a few days, it DOES hold up to that oven temp and CAN handle being heated on a burner to a surface contact temp of 400F and up, but if you don't NEED to exceed 400F, I wouldn't and I most certainly wouldn't go over 500F stovetop. As far as non-stick ceramic surfaces on cookware goes, the coating on these is pretty good, up there with the better brands I've tried, but they all have their limits and if you need a higher temp, there's a better pan for the job than this. But it held up so far to steaks, chops, burgers, chicken breasts, a small stir fry, potatoes, skin-on fish and did pretty good with eggs as well. You'll get best results heating over medium to maybe medium high heat and letting it preheat for a little bit and though non-stick, I still like using a little bit of oil or fat, especially with eggs, but like with burgers and steaks, I didn't have to. I didn't experience any glaring hot spots and the heating was pretty even. No warping either. Cleanup is a breeze as well. They held up fine in the dishwasher, but honestly things were nonstick enough that a wet sponge wiped off much of any residual debris. I have some portable countertop induction cooktops as well and can confirm these are induction compatible. It's comfortable to hold and handle stayed cool to the touch for me. All in all it's a great pan and I think a great value. I wish I had a bigger one now! I'll have to see what else I can find that they make. I do recommend these though ... show more

I don't like to cook, avoid it almost always, but I do eat simple and healthy. Don't do processed foods, but rarely. I have some big frying pans, and mostly they just take up space since they rarely get used. Well, I was really craving eggs from pasture raised chickens the other day. I wanted three fried eggs on top of a nice slice of seeds and grain bread. So, I got to use this pan. :-) I don't like crispy eggs, so this pan is perfect due to having a lid. The pan is absolutely perfect for frying eggs, but can easily be used for other foods. It's the perfect size for one or two portion meals. My eggs fried up really nice. The heat distributed very well, and the pan is so non-stick that foods slide easily if the pan is tilted. Nothing sticks. My eggs flipped perfectly. I always use some olive oil for frying, even with non-stick pans. I absolutely love the size, and I believe the size will encourage me to prepare stove cooked foods more often. The pan feels good in the hand, it's got a good weight, and it feels solid and durable. The handle is described as heat resistant, which I'm sure it is. But I haven't been put in a position to test that. Because of the size I'm able to easily wash and rinse the pan. There's no struggle with trying to rince the pan well, while having to turn and flip it when rinsing. This will be my 'go to' pan, which I don't doubt I'll be using often for eggs now (it's just an easy item to use), but probably for seared ham slices too. Ham can't get any better than ham seared in a pan. This is a high quality item that should last forever if it's not abused. This item is a treat because it's so easy and convenient to use versus my huge pans. I'm willing now versus being unwilling to stove top cook. Lots of materials in this: stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic, tempered glass. It's on the expensive side, $100, but there's a coupon for half price. ... show more

I got this pan because we like to do small batch cooking in our home. With lots of food allergies, we often make our own meals. The 7.5 inch diameter is great for eggs! I like the depth to move food around in the pan with less risk of spills and splatters. The pan looks beautiful and has a good weight to it, making it feel good in my hands. The pan appears to be made of high quality materials and the lid offers good coverage and high visibility. I hand washed the pan before first use. I added enough avocado oil to coat the bottom of the pan and then preheated it on my glass cooktop. It heated up quickly. I cracked 3 eggs and mixed them well (with a silicone spatula) in the pan. The eggs scrambled quickly and maintained fluffiness. The pan heated evenly and there was almost no “skin” in the pan (my gripe with other pans). When done, I just tipped the pan onto my plate and the eggs slid right off. There was almost no food residue left. My scrambled eggs were great! Cleanup was so simple with a little soapy water.
