I bought this for my small fur babies because regular grooming appointments were starting to add up, and with how expensive everything seems to be these days, I wanted to try handling nail trims at home. I’m glad I did. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it is, it’s small and looks good. One of my pets gets nervous around grooming tools, but this didn’t seem to bother them nearly as much as traditional clippers. That alone made the process a lot less stressful for both of us. I also like that it grinds the nails gradually instead of taking off too much at once. The protective guard gave me a little extra confidence since I was worried about making a mistake. After a couple of uses, I felt much more comfortable doing it myself. It’s easy to hold, simple to use, and works well on my smaller pets. Great battery life. Most importantly, it’s helping me keep their nails trimmed without having to schedule frequent grooming visits. For me, it’s been a practical purchase that has already started paying for itself.

We have a dog that has coal black claws and is very difficult to trim his claws as you cannot see where the quick ends. So each month, we go through the same routine with claw clippers and a cordless grinder, which the dog doesn't like. We have to muzzle him to take care of business. Got these at the behest of our son-in-law. I was skeptical but willing to try anything to make it easier on both the dog and me. surprisingly, these are substantially quieter that any other cordless grinder that we have used. However, it still has the vibrations that the dog hate, BUT he was not as anxious while we worked on his claws, and that if a plus. So, yes, I would recommend this grinder for those of us who cannot take their pet to the groomer, because the groomer doesn't do black claws effectively. Have used it three times on our dog without a recharge, and it has not slowed down. Now it take about 10 minutes to get the job done instead of 15-20, including stopping the bleeding from a claw when we used clippers. The last thing is that it was ready to go (other than charging) when we received it. It is simple, reliable and functional...all while being quieter!

I love it, it's not hard, my cat is not afraid when I turn it on because the noise is not hard, it's super easy to handle, I like its quality because it's good at cutting but it doesn't hurt my cat's hand. I love its price, it's good and it's actually very practical

This is the 3rd grinder I’ve used on my dog. The first two she wouldn’t let me use on her, this Heusom no problem she sat calmly and let me grind away. I would put a treat on the ground and tell her to leave it until I give the OK command. While not absolutely silent, and no grinder ever will be, this is by far the quietest I’ve used and allowed me to grind her nails without a fight.

This changed everything. My 4 year old rescue Chiweenie struggled so much with getting his nails trimmed with regular clippers. He would growl and snap and do everything he could to get away. Even if we used a nail grinder (different brand). He absolutely hated it and was terrified. We were at our wits end and considering muzzles and restraint and more trauma to our already traumatized boy. We saw the Heusom silent grinder in an ad and figured we’d give it a try. After what seemed like only a couple tries I was able to do a whole foot of nails before we reached the end of his tolerance. The fact that it makes basically no sound until you’re actually grinding the nails is amazing. And even that isn’t so bad. I think the way it doesn’t vibrate as much also helps. He doesn’t like it but is way more calm. I approach him while he’s in his comfy spot on the couch and ask him if I can do his nails a little. Now I get a couple tail wags and a submissive head bow and he cries just a little while I trim the nails on one foot. Toward the end of the foot he gets restless but will let me finish and then of course he’s excited and gets a high value treat. But even the vets couldn’t do his nails easily! Plus he gets anxious in the car and then at the vet so it’s definitely not an ideal situation to be doing his nails in. This nail grinder has changed everything and allowed me to do nail trims at home where my boy is most comfortable. The peace of mind that I can’t get his quick as easily is so worth it, too. Anyway this was a whole ahh ramble but this is well worth the money and I can’t recommend this enough.
