It does not kink IF you pull it out straight before you wind it up. Also, if you turn off the water, release the pressure, does not kink. Have not had any problems with this hose. No kinks when wound up.

The media could not be loaded. I am an Amazon Vine reviewer, and I chose this product, which I received for free (though I do pay taxes on it) for an HONEST review. I am reviewing the 25-foot 5/8” inner diameter “heavy duty, non-kink” hose sold by the HZGREEN store. I chose this hose because I was in need of a lightweight hose for a small area in my backyard. I have several raised beds in this area that are near a rain barrel. I had tried other hoses, but their inner diameter was smaller, and I didn’t get a good flow of water from the rain barrel to my raised beds. With this hose, I get a good flow rate, which is featured in the short video I made. Not shown in the video, I did also test this hose on a regular pressurized faucet. I have pressure regulators on my faucets set to 40-50 PSI, as I have drip irrigation throughout my yards. This hose performed well attached to the regular faucets. There was no leaking from any of the connections. The connectors on the ends appear to be brass. The grip parts of the handle rotate 360, which makes the hose nice to handle. I did check the inner diameter with my calipers, and it does measure 5/8”. The hose did not have any kink memory when taken out of the package. It stretched out very nicely without any kinks. When I walked it out to straighten it initially, it did develop two kinks, but that was without any water in it. Once I had water flowing through it, I didn’t have any problems with kinks. It is light weight, coming in around 3.3 pounds, which is what I’m looking for. Overall, this is a solid hose that is comfortable to hold and not heavy to move around a small space in my yard. It works great with my rain barrel. This hose fits my needs perfectly and I am very happy with it. I would recommend it to friends or family in need of a light 25-foot hose. I give it 4 stars just because it is sold as being “kink free”, which is not quit the case. It doesn’t kink excessively, but it does kink. Otherwise, this is a solid hose. I love these flexible hoses and will be buying these over the retail store hoses for now on. We have a small horse ranch and use hoses every day for watering horses, cleaning, etc. Our hose has constant pressure 24 hours a day with a spray nozzle shut off end and the hose has proven to be very durable. I’m sure the horses have stepped on it a few times too. As for the kinking, these hoses don’t kink under pressure – all hoses will kink when empty. What I like most about these is the flexibility – and when filling horse buckets these flexible hoses are far easier to use. You can drop the hose in the bucket and it will stay. The normal thick, stiff hoses will continuously fall out. While the stiff, thick hoses may appear to be “stronger”, they fail much sooner than these hoses.

I live on a farm and have many hoses going this way and that - over the years, I have tried many hoses to be able to find the right combination of easily maneuverable and not easily kinkable. I use this particular hose in the wash stall of my horse barn, where it gets almost continual use. It is a great combination of sturdy and lightweight, in that it is easy to maneuver, but does not kink easily like other lightweight hoses that I have used. The fittings on the ends are brass and very heavy duty, so I expect this hose to last a long time.

Straight out of the box and the hose is constantly kinking. Not the strongest of hoses. I do like the way the hose hooks up to the faucet but the actual line is weak and collapses. I wouldn’t buy again.

This hose seems to be heavy duty which makes it a bit heavier than others. It’s made from good materials. Still can kink though. I haven’t had any leakage so far but I will update this review if I do. Connects nicely to the spicket and to a nozzle. Seems to be good quality so far.
