When I opened the package, I was immediately impressed with the "beefieness" of the hose ends. They are very heavy compared with other hoses. I thought that would translate into an incredible hose. To my dismay, I hooked the hose up to my hose bib and turned the water on. The valve end of the hose assembly immediately started leaking. I initiated a return through Amazon and selected a replacement instead of a refund, thinking I would give it one more chance. Before I could even get the original hose to UPS to ship it back, I received notice that a replacement hose was already being sent to me. Now that's quick customer service! A few days later, I received my new replacement of the ProSeries 50' hose. I hooked it up and it appears to work as intended. I have not used it yet for a normal task, like washing my car, but I feel like this one is going to be a keeper. And the thing has a 10-year warranty! Yeah, it's a little more expensive than what I could have spent buying a different brand, but you get what you pay for. And HydroTech has impressed me with their promptness to replace a defective unit. ... show more

Poorly designed hose. The portion below the connector turns around, gushes out like a shower head from the moment you turn on the tap, no matter how slowly you control the tap.Heavily taped but still leaks.The built-in shut-off valve does not turn, so you can't stop flow unless you turn off from tap.The "lightweight" claim is false; this is the heaviest, bulky hose l have ever bought.Does not completely empty water when tap is turned off.A waste of money. The media could not be loaded. This 25 ft hydrotech hose is by far the best hose I have ever used. It is light and very flexible. You won't have to wrestle with this hose. It's currently summertime, but I believe this hose would be just as flexible in colder weather. Another great thing is it does NOT kink. I suppose the claim to fame here is the shrinking of the hose when it's empty and the expansion when it's filled with water. This is a great feature. I am using this hose on my dock to rinse my boat. I don't have a lot of extra space on the dock so I am very pleased with this feature. Another real plus is the heavy duty fittings, which are silver in color, not aluminum (information online indicates that they are either brass or stainless steel depending on the model). I have not measured water flow through the hose but my impression is that the flow volume is excellent. One bonus feature is the aesthetics. This hose just flat out looks good. Mine is, as noted, a pretty Cobalt blue. Each hose length has its own distinct color. This is a very high quality product and worthy of five stars any day of the week. It is well worth the price!! [Please note that in the photograph the brass shut off does not come with the hose, but the silver colored shut off is included.] One last word of caution to hose buyers: aluminum fittings. Aluminum is cheaper than brass and many if not most of the lower priced hoses for sale today have aluminum fittings. If you connect an aluminum fitting with a brass fitting, galvanic corrosion will occur over time and essentially weld the aluminum fitting to the brass fitting. ... show more

I have, sorry to say, purchased a number of flexible hoses over the years and not one was a HydroTech product. Upon opening this Pro Series 75' hose I noticed several features that may well mean that I may never have to buy another hose again. The construction of and the hose material looks and feels very heavy duty. The brass couplers is a plus for durability and I was glad to see the addition of a pressure relief on the hose end to protect the flexible hose from leakage or rupture. The hose collapses into a very small space. Even with the 3/4" size the hose is easily handled and is its light weight was surprising. This hose supplies enough water flow to keep up with my small electric pressure washer. This Pro Series 75' HydroTech flexible hose really stands out as being a hose made to last. ... show more

What drove me to the Hydrotech Pro Series was the beefy Stainless Steel fittings on each end. These are the stress points prone to premature failure on most competator's models. I also like the attached shut-off valve. That is a great feature, especially when you want to change sprayer nozzles or change attachments while the hose is full. Most brands don't have that feature. The outer jacket is a bit scratchy, but seems durable and it is the best looking hose on the market in my opinion. I bought the 100ft model because it will meet all of my needs around the garden. One tip, if you're considering the 100ft expandable model, let out the water before trying to lift it or pull it in for storage because that's a lot of water to carry. Let the hose do it's thing and shrink into it's storage size. It's much easier then to carry and store it. Finally, the hose hanger was an afterthought. I did not purchase it through Hydrotech. And, yes I recommend this product. Although not a USA made product, it is a Canadian product, and I thought it would be nice to give our neighbors to the North a shout-out! Generally, they're made to hold up under the most extreme conditions or people won't buy them. ... show more
