After using electric string trimmers for a while, a cousin lend me his gas trimmer. I really liked the power of it and the fact you don't have to worry about charging batteries. It was kind of loud though. Then I borrowed a gas trimmer, from a neighbor this time. Same experience so convinced to get me a gas string trimmer I went online. After doing a lot of research (comparing specs, reading lots of reviews) I ended up with three brands: Echo, Stihl and Husqvarna. The last brand is a little more expensive but has a great reputation, and services in the USA. I found an excellent deal with a seller here on Amazon, so I bought the 330LK. With another seller I ordered the Husqvarna 2 cycle gas mix; that gets you an extended warranty (up to 5 year manufacturer's warranty). After receiving it I read the Quick Reference first and put the two pieces together ("click") and followed instructions to start the engine. It did start in maybe 10 pulls (now using it every two weeks just two or 3 pulls when cold or just one pull if still warm). It just works so good; great reach, lots of power, perfect gas trigger response and ergonomics (handle, adjustments position of knobs: everything is logical and intuitive). It's also very well balanced. Taking it apart in two pieces makes cleaning of the the strimming part really easy, and so is storing the trimmer. It takes some gas though and it's not really light so I'm using a small harness now which is another recommendation. But all in all it's a real pleasure to work with and I'm very pleased with it. ... show more

This trimmer has lived up to all the great reviews I studied before purchasing. It has plenty of power even for very heavy cutting, starting is super easy if you just read the instructions and start it properly, changing and feeding the string is easier than any trimmer I've every used. This is a very well built/durable product. It's a little heavier than my other trimmer, but that was easily compensated by using a shoulder harness. I would highly recommend this trimmer to anyone for large areas or heavy trimming. ... show more

Husqvarna is a quality name that has been reliable in the past for me. I'm really liking this weedeater however there are a couple of negatives that keeps me from giving 5 stars. First, regardless of how I hold it, the back of my arm typically is always touching the top of the weedeater and if you're using it long enough, you're arm will start heating up. I noticed they have some models that have a cover there to protect your arm. Also, I accidentally pulled the choke up too far and it came out of its track. Nothing major but not great. Lastly, if I could go back, I would've just gotten a straight non-seperating shaft. I don't need attachments so it's not needed. That's just my preference though. You might want attachments.
