I was looking for a small compact unit to do cleanup work after mowing with my John Deere tractor, This unit seemed to be an economical solution. Now I know from the price you're not gonna get much, but this unit seems to work pretty well with the steel blades, the plastic blades that come with it are absolute garbage and will break the first time almost guaranteed. The plastic blades you might as well just throw away. This unit is really made for light duty, maybe a little bit into medium duty, but I would not use this as anything heavy duty for clearing, brush, or large areas, it's simply not made for that, even though the advertisement makes it seem this way. If you use it for what it is intended for, light use, clean up work after mowing then it does a pretty decent job of that. It's not heavy to carry around, actually pretty light, and the motor itself has a decent amount of power with the metal blades, the battery life seems to be pretty good also, at least I didn't have any real issues with serious battery drain for the half hour I was using it. It's easy to put together, install blades and use. My only real issue is that the unit is cheaply made, I would not abuse this, or use this for anything more than light duty because I honestly think that you're not gonna get five years of use out of this if you push it too much. My reasoning is at the price, even if I were to get five years of light duty, clean up, work, and trimming after mowing, and I had to buy another one I think it would be worth the price. I also have a large 36V Black & Decker trimmer which is heavy and cumbersome to use. This is why I sought something a little bit lighter and easier for the cleanup work. It does fit the bill and I will continue to use it and give updates to this review if needed. Also, the company didn't seem to offer any spare batteries, or the ability to purchase spare batteries. I had to search and compare voltage and connection patterns in charging capabilities to match the battery which seems to work ok, but be prepared to search around to try to find a spare or replacement battery when the time comes. PROS: - Light Weight - Not Very Expensive - Easy to Use - Steel Blades Work Well - Easy to Assemble CONS: - Cheaply Made - Plastic and/or Wire Blades are Garbage - Not for large or heavy-duty areas (Only Light Duty) - Spare Batteries Difficult to Find, Not Standard Overall, I would recommend the unit for cleanup, work, and light duty using the steel blades, anything else outside of that, I would not recommend. ... show more

Maybe a third battery too. I didn’t think my yard was very big until I began mowing it with this. I honestly love this thing, but the best advice I read said to use it in a vacuum cleaner motion. Back and forth. This isn’t a one pass wonder however I actually don’t mind that. I do, however, mind having to stop 1/4 of the way through my yard to recharge the battery, if I didn’t have seriously kind neighbors it may have taken me three to four days to mow my lawn, because the battery takes so long to charge. But I still use it for smaller sections and I adore the ability to fold this up into a small outdoor storage box. ... show more

I bought this weed-eater on wheels because of my disability. Alas, It did not have two types of grass blades. Just the two circular blades. I do not have a lot of money to throw a way on single use tools. I do not endorse lairs.

    • Works perfect for small chores
I like it because I can use it as grass cutter and can change to trimmer, the trimmer is good for light bushes, but is not strong enough for medium size jobs. The plastic blades for cutting grass are useless, they run out in second after you start cutting the grass. I use the metal blades only.

    • Patience is needed
So if you are looking for this to act or cut like a weed whacker, it won't. It cuts but it works best on tall weeds or grass. If what your cutting bends too easily, this will not cut every piece. In addition, it is a slow working process. Twice the time a weed whacker takes. I'm going to keep mine and use it for areas I want more control on what gets cut, like flower beds or around bushes or rocks. I live on 11 acres. I purchased this product to help with general maintenance around the yard. So far so good. I decided to clear some property of very thick tall weeds. To my surprise it worked well using the steel blades. I can’t tackle the weeds from low down or it will get jammed ( which isn’t a huge issue), however if I tackle the tall weeds and cut them in half, then I can get low to the ground and get the rest. I’m just starting out and don’t have the proper tools yet for the major work I’m doing but as a 44 yr old female this has worked great. The battery has lasted me at least 4 hours of working non stop. The handle on it is flimsy and I’ve already lost the part that keeps it on, but I don’t really use it anyway. I haven’t put the wheels on yet but again I don’t really need them. My pictures shown are the tall weeds before and after. All were cleared with just this product. I’ve used it for about 3 months straight and I like it. It’s not as powerful as a standard string whacker but it does the job ... show more
