My husband is 100% pleased with this log splitter! It is well made, durable ( he's already used it to split several cords of tamarack and red fir for our wood stove). And a real back- saver! Took my adult daughter and I 3 days to build. But once together, it works amazingly well. So far have used it on 3 mature trees, 2 of which were pin oaks. Have some hydraulic fluid leakage, but just have to keep adjusting slightly.

I’ve used my splitter several times now and it is a joy to use. I had some very large rounds of sycamore and birch to split and the splitter has no problem handling it. Sycamore is incredibly hard ands stringy, and the size was about 24 inches in diameter. Very pleased with my splitter!

The bar with the piston is really heavy. I took the piston off and could handle the rest by myself. Put the piston back on after mounting engine step. Easy to read instructions, most of the assembling time spent reading. It took me 6 hours total.

I had my 35 Ton for 5 years. It's been a great Splitter. I never had to pull the cord more then twice to start the Engine, its the same as a Honda Motor and never had a piece of wood that I couldn't split. I split wood all year round for my business. I split 3 cords a week all year round to sale and never replaced nothing but the Spark Plug this year. I have split up to 36 inch logs with no problem. Good Splitter.
