  • Smooth as silk!
Capacity: 1TB
My six year old hp laptop hard drive went caput so instead of getting a new laptop, which I really didn’t want to do, I decided to replace the hard drive. I came across this hp SSD 1Tb and took a chance. So glad I did! Installation was simple and quick. Installed windows 10 and that was fairly quick with no problems. The hard drive is lightening fast compared to the old HDD. It’s like having a new laptop! So far the performance has been great. ... show more

  • Great SSD! Very fast and affordable.
Capacity: 256GB
Installed this on a 5 year old HP desktop and it works great! Consistently fast. For $28-30... definitely worth it!

  • WOW! Soooo EZ 2 Install
Capacity: 1TB
I purchased this HP 1TB SSD(Solid State Drive) for my 8 yr old HP Envy laptop 15t-k200 due t the hard drive failed. I turned it on and message stated HARD DRIVE FAILURE. I did a check, and YES IT WAS DEAD! I downloaded the Windows program files onto BOTH a USB & also a DVD...I installed the NEW SDD drive, yes lots of screws to remove but it was VERY EZ. I 1st tried the USB Install...put the usb drive in, Hit my power button and it stated it did not recognize the drive. I restarted my laptop, same message, so I put the DVD in , restarted my laptop & YES, it recognized the drive , started the process immediately, went thru all the install steps. This was a CLEAN INSTALL, I did not use any cloning or adapter from my old drive. Just followed the steps, it walked me thru it all....maybe took 45 minutes to have everything in place. It even recognized my internet connection...BEAUTIFUL.....DEFINITELY is FASTER !!! I MEAN DEFINITELY a game changer ! MY LAPTOP HAS BEEN BROUGHT BACK FROM THE DEAD ! I was on it, just searching the web, going from site to site....WOW what a difference. I currently am running WIN 10 PRO , 1 TB w/ 8 GB RAM, i7-5500 Intel 2.4GHz, 64 bit, with Windows Feature Experience Pack, my internet plan is 100 mbps Download with 30 mbps Upload & To be honest, I really thought this was going to be a NIGHTMARE, reading about CERTAIN THINGS U must do B4 turning on the computer...SERIOUSLY, if you have a dead computer, make the switch from an old HDD to an SSD , YOU WONT B SORRY! ... show more

  • Good drive with metal case
Capacity: 512GB
Great value for SSD. Not a top performer but nice upgrade for an old laptop. I was reading this may have QLC flash and some say TLC flash ensures a bit longer life but overall life is good for this laight to medium use non-gamer. I wound up with an ACER SSD that reportedly has the TLC flash.

  • Upgraded 10 year old HP Envy
Capacity: 1TB
I was able to clone a 1TB platter HDD with this HP 1TB SSD without any problems on a 10 year old HP Envy. The Acronis OEM software is, indeed, free with the purchase. You must follow the link in the picture descriptions above and (I suspect) have a qualifying drive. The 1TB drive had 230GB data written to it and took about 5 hours to clone. I usually install Samsung EVO drives but, on this computer, and no matter what preparations I made (scannow, chkdsk, defrag, stopping virus software, etc.), I could not get the Samsung Data Migration to finalize the clone (interruption error at the end of process). This computer had gone through every Windows iteration starting with Win7 and the HD had slowed to a crawl (possibly on the verge of failure) so, that may have been part of the problem because Samsung has never let me down in over a dozen laptops I've upgraded. Anyway, cutting edge read/write speeds are not an issue and durability will (I hope) be sufficient since this old computer receives little use as the owner has moved on to iOS operating hardware. In any event, I was able to renew the computer (actually a relatively high end HP with discrete graphics) and salvage the files and programs desired. The computer is as fast, possibly faster, than new (bootup and operating). ... show more

  • Works ok and cloned easily
Capacity: 1TB
Had to replace a dying mechanical hard drive that was squeeling and I didnt want it to crap out on me at a bad moment. I backed everything up and used my Acronis True Image to clone the hard drive onto this SSD. No problems, no hiccups and got a good full copy. Swapped out the drives in the laptop and back in business! Easy and no problems. Plugged the old one into an external case and I have a cheap non-critical external drive to play with. We'll see how well this SSD performs. I dont have the benchmark apps to give technical performance info about the drive but seem to run fast and havent experienced any issues. Iwill update with practical experience review in real world conditions when able! ... show more

  • Great SSD
Got this as a second attempt to speed up an old Dell all-in-one. So much faster than the Crucial BX500 I tried first, which was slower than an HDD. This HP seems like a really nice SSD. First try with the Acronis OEM Disk Clone took failed, but it went through fine on the 2nd attempt, and then booted perfectly ... show more
