The Chateau Floor Clock has a Windsor Cherry finish on select hardwoods and veneers, lightly distressed. Swan-neck pediment with turned finial and reeded finial seat. Polished brass finished dial features an ornate, gold-tone center, and a midnight blue moon phase. Chain-driven, single-chime movement. Chime silence option. Howard C. Love this clock. All arrived with no damage and was fairly easy to assemble. Make sure you reference the correct instructions for your specific model as the instructions are separated by model but all in the same book! The plastic strip the holds the chains in place is easiest to cut off with scissors as it grips the chains very well and you may risk damage trying to pull it off. The clock looks exactly as pictured and the chime is perfect, not too loud but not loud at all, which is good for us. The time is adjustable so no worries if it is a little slow or fast. ... show more

This is a beautiful clock and works great. I only have one complaint, It does not chime loud enough for me.

I was able to purchase this grandfather clock for only $50 at an estate sale. It looked like it was dropped during a home move as suggested by the home mover sticker on it. Some parts were missing, and some of the wood was cracked. A missing chain was purchased via an internet seller located in Arizona. Parts appear to be readily available. The cracked wood was repaired with some wood glue, plastic wood, and wood stain. The clock - despite the beating it took - works just fine. The German movement is of very good quality. I now need to replace a shattered side glass panel which I can obtain from a local glass shop. The sound quality of the chimes is very pleasing. The only drawback is that the phases of the moon dial is fixed; that is, it does not move as might be found in more costly grandfather clocks. It is a very nice looking grandfather clock. I would recommend purchasing it. I was lucky that I was able to steal it at $50. It is a fine piece of furniture that will enhance your home. ... show more
