Building a cabin right now and the rooms are a little smaller than standard-sized house rooms, so looked everywhere for a small fan (in the 24-36” range) that looked halfway rustic and also had a downrod and was capable of being hung on an angled ceiling. Finally found this guy, although was leery of the look of the frosted glass bulb enclosure at first. Put this together and first impression is that it is well-made, good components even though made overseas, and beefy and nice and heavy for it’s size! Which is a good thing. Not so heavy that you’re worried about it’s weight, just heavy in that it’s components are obviously of a good and substantial material. This thing looks nice. The color of the blades and houses is natural enough to go well with a rustic look, and the frosted glass enclosure adds a touch of class without interfering with the rustic look. Really adds a nice touch of character to the room! Also, the ceiling in which I installed this is a 4/12 pitch, just inside the limits of ceiling angle it states it can accept, and because the blades are small enough, I actually decided to stick with the 4” downrod it came with and not change that out to a 12” downrod, which would have made it hang too low. On the 4” downrod, the blades have about a 4-5” clearance to the ceiling at their tips, which I know is not “ideal”, you want 10” or so, but hanging this around the 8’ height of our ceiling it had to be with the 4” downrod. For it to look right with a 12” downrod you’d have to move it up the angled ceiling where it now is at almost the 10’ ceiling height mark, which was beyond the room at that point. So for me I ordered the 12” downrod, put the fan together with the 4” downrod it came with, and then held the fan up in it’s ideal spot with the 4” downrod at ceiling height and then also held the fan up and simulated what the fan would look like with the 12” downrod in hand next to it. Unless you have really high ceilings, you’ll find a longer downrod will not look right. If your ceiling pitch is greater than what this states it is rated for, all you need to do is order a separate canopy for it that accepts steeper angles. I had to do this for a living room ceiling fan for our cathedral living room ceilings that are 9/12 pitch. Not a big deal. So overall, this fan for it’s price for the bill nicely and looks great! I purchased this to install in my "home office" since I started working from home during quarantine. The space I have set up to work in is only about 6'x6', but it has a giant window that allows the sun to warm the tiny space all day. I tried using floor fans and desk fans, but they were noisy and didn't move enough air to cool the whole room, just my face. I was sitting in my sweat all day! This little beast of a fan does WONDERS! The first day I had it in, I had to wear a sweater at my desk, and it made me so happy! It's tiny, but powerful. The motor hums at a low level, but it's quiet enough that no one in my virtual meetings can hear it. The settings are varied enough that I can be comfortable any time of day. It's definitely more appropriate for a small space -- when I say my office is basically a closet, I'm not kidding. (The home floorplan calls it a "dressing room") So I wouldn't have high expectations for a bigger space. It was easy enough to install with help, but it's VERY important to follow the instructions and read the stickers on the blade assembly. The fan blades don't attach to the motor in the same way a typical fan does, and I put them on improperly (twice, I'm ashamed to admit). Love this fan. It has only been about a month or two, but it is great. Looks very stylish, the light would have been better in a daylight mode rather than the warm light, but that is not a big deal at all. We have in on the top of the stairs in a hallway area that is about 12 feet long, so the size of the fan was crucial. This fan was very easy to install, we just replaced the old fan with this fan...no problems at all. When the instructions say to put a piece of paper over the motor when putting in "those" screws, or else you may drop them into the grated area of the motor....they were NOT kidding. You only have to drop one of them in there to believe it. Had to take the fan down, turn it upside down and catch it with the magnetic screwdriver...an extra 5 minutes...still easy job. The fan is very quiet and is powerful. The air moves 110% better than the old fan we replaced ever did in the 20 plus years it was in service. The old fan was 36 inches, this fan is 30...key difference to me. The smaller blades can work in the tighter area better and do a much better job. ... show more

I read a lot of the reviews on this fan light and disagree with most all of the negative ones yet some items may have had defects. I had an electrician put mine in x2, and they assembled it in about 5 minutes and had it installed in under 10 minutes. The cons on it for me is the tiny lightbulb you have to put in it x2. This takes the mini ones and its hard to find those in high lumens thus can't see well to "work" or "art" in the room. We took the frosted globe cover off and that helped a tad, those mute light. I'm still on the search for better mini lumens. These bulbs have to go opposite each other parallel to the top of the base, screwed in so you can't use a vertical ONE bulb bigger and are stuck using 1 small or 2 small. If you want to have decent work area light this fan light fixture is not for you! Pro's can't hear it on low, it has a muted "fan moving" noise on high, very nice indeed and really moves the air on high in a room 10' x 10'. Quality is great, they look great and I like the 2 option blade color choice to flip it chrome or pecan wood grain. The chrome was my choice and it is a muted chrome thus does not cause reflections from or to it yet is polished in appearance and matches the silver fan base. It hangs from ceiling perfect about 8", didn't measure it, looks copesetic. ... show more
