This hose is GREAT! It's just SO LIGHT to drag around the yard, that "drag" is hardly the description for it! It is by far the lightest 50 ft. hose that I've ever used! (I think it claims to be up 50% lighter, and I would be inclined to believe it.) Actually, when the box arrived, I wondered WHAT was IN it, and I was rather surprised to find that it was actually FIFTY FEET OF GARDEN HOSE! It was just SOOOO LIGHT! Aside from the low weight, this is a really nice hose. In fact, I liked it so much, I returned another hose, (a much heavier one), that I'd just bought at W*M, and turned around and BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE OF THESE! So now, I have I one out the front, and one out the back. My wife and I are both loving it! Also, this "Holldoor Garden Hose 50 ft Lightweight" is pretty good at not kinking, too... Of course, like any hose, you need to try not to let it get twisted too much, so as to help to keep it from kinking, but anyways, this "Holldoor Garden Hose 50 ft Lightweight" DOES RESIST KINKING pretty well. (It comes rolled-up in a fairly small diameter coil, when it arrives, so, you'll probably want to carefully UN-ROLL IT, so that you DON'T START OUT with it twisted, thus, eliminating any potential for those kinks...) This "Holldoor Garden Hose 50 ft Lightweight" seems to be quite well made, also. BTW, the aircraft aluminum fittings are amazing... again, the best I've ever seen. I've never owned a hose that was made like this one is, with a rubber inner hose and a fabric outer jacket... but, I'm hoping that it holds up well with time. So far, it seems like it will... At 40 bucks for 50 feet, it would probably qualify as more of a premium-priced garden hose, but, personally, I think it's well worth it. (I mean, I did buy a second one.) So, as I said, I really like this hose! It's JUST SO LIGHT and easy to use, plus, it seems to be quite well built! I totally recommend it.

I bought two of these and one has developed a large leak after very little use. The other one is still going strong. We’ll see. Otherwise it’s not too heavy and feels like good quality. Maybe I just got a defective unit. If the other one starts leaking I’ll adjust the review to one star.

This product isn’t worth the buy. The hose lasted just over a month then started to leak. It’s been used lightly. Mostly for washing a dog. Very disappointed and glad i didn’t buy two right away. I hope to hear from the seller. I’ll follow up with this review.

My favorite feature of this hose is how lightweight it is. It has a grey nylon outer layer and inside it feels like a rubbery plastic tubing. The design makes it lightweight and good looking, but I definitely question the long term durability. We live in Arizona, where the summer heat is brutal and felt if we left the hose outside, it wouldn’t make it through one summer. The inner tubing would get brittle and crack. So we keep it inside until we buy something to protect it from the sun when not in use. That being said, it is made well as far as no leaks at all and if you’re used to the other lightweight hoses that retract and have to be babied, then the care for these are the same and these are more durable than that kind. We are getting too old to be lugging around traditional hoses, and only use the retracting kind for the past few years. We keep them inside too, they are recommended to keep in. We were hoping this one could be left out, but it seems all the lightweight ones have to be specially cared for and if that’s the trade off to lugging heavy ones, that’s fine with me.

So this is a nice feeling, very lightweight and easy to move hose. Really. Overall I don't want to complain. Even the kinking isn't a HUGE deal as it doesn't damage the hose or cause water restriction once unkinking like a standard hose does. 50 ft, at least on my property, feels very short. It'd be great for a smaller yard but being it's so different than my other hoses I don't like the idea of attaching it to another for distance. However I suppose that would still make moving a bit easier. It's very strong feeling so I know the weight of a standard hose behind it wouldn't damage it either. It's not ripping through really woody stemmed weed stalks and don't think it would in craggy areas either, nor do I think it would necessarily catch. Being that it can kink though there IS that possibility. It works great for any sprinkler I've hooked up and is so very easy to drain as well. Again being lightweight and so easy to roll, fold or in any way put up (and without worry of damaging on like flat hooks/hangers) you can just hold it over your shoulder as you drain or roll it up into your hand. easy to connect and disconnect as well. I'm curious how it would hold up through freezing winter with water in it, if it would expand enough to remain safe if I don't try coil/uncoiling it but I don't think I"ll test that. I like it too much and don't want to damage it purposefully for the review. Perhaps if it happens in the future then I'll come update on the results. But would I recommend? For a 50ft hose if it works for you then absolutely. Whether you NEED lightweight or not (speaking actual weight, not pressure held or durability) this is a really nice hose option.
