  • Practical, well designed product.
We live in an area that has sandy soil. This cuts right through the roots of small trees and tufts of grass/shrubs without issue. Really pleased with it and it comes with a replacement ripping tine! We hit a big root that would have caused the implement to bend but the shear bolt did its job and sheared and saved the implement. Well engineered. FYI, keep in mind that when any implement states 16" deep or such, that how far the implement drops and not the actual depth of cut. Depending on how low your tractor 3 point will drop dictates how deep you're going to be able to go with this. We have a larger tractor so we get a shallower trench due to the 3 point being higher off the ground. I would buy this product again, works really well. ... show more

  • Hitch Mounted Trencher Fits 3 Point Lawn Ripper for ATV/UTV/Tractor
I purchased this to dig a 100" trench for conduit and electric wire with my Mule and an implement lift. It took me a couple months to getting around to putting it all together, but when I did, I saw that it was made very well and assembly was a breeze. I finally got around to using it yesterday and my impression is that this thing is awesome! I live in North Alabama and we grow HUGE rocks. After making a couple passes, I hit a monster rock. Around 300 lbs., 3 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 4 inches thick, and sitting about 10 inches below the ground. When I hit it, I was positive the ripper would have broken. NOPE! I raised it up and it's still strong as ever! This has destroyed any large or small roots that gets in it's path, many of them being thrown out of the trench. I had to make some small mods to my implement lift to use it, but nothing major. Overall, I am beyond impress with this trencher and already envision many more projects. ... show more

  • Good for the right soil
Worked great for my needs for a while till it snapped. It has been welded together and serves a purpose but it's definitely not for rocky terrain

  • Works Great!
This claw does what it does and does it well! Haven't bent or broken it yet like some others so fingers crossed! nice and heavy duty! no problems with alignment or assembly, just read what you're assembling and you'll do fine.

  • Works too well.
Very heavy duty. I connected it to my ATV’s 2 inch hitch during the first initial pull. I made it about 2 inches before it broke my 2 inch receiver completely off. Unfortunately, I had to return it due to no longer having a 2 inch receiver on my ATV. Highly recommend using a one (atv) or three point hitch or a tractor when using this ripper. ... show more

  • good item ,bad results
bought his item with the idea of saving some funds by doing my own trench as seen on youtube, well this didnt go well, keep in mind that the 3 point does not pushes downward, stays (floats) so the the terrain dictates where it digs as it goes up and down ,also note the digging tip its only 2inch wide, making it almost useless (described on ad), i bolted on two rippers i had to make it wider, still didnt wrk good, end up paying a trencher to do the best job. ... show more

  • Digs like a champ
I have a cheap TaoTao Rhino 250 which I put an easy hitch on. Because the mount does not pivot back, I had to jack up the back of the Rhino and slide the trencher into the easy hitch. I let the jack down, fired up the Rhino and drove a line directly to where I needed. When I looked back, there was this very nice line about 6" deep into the ground. I took my square shovel and was able to pop out sections of dirt down through the 6" trench. When done I had a nice deep trench to drop my cables into, use the shovel to drop the dirt back into the trench and step on it to push the dirt down, burring the cables. Worked like a champ. You can turn and make curved trenches, but if you try and make a very tight turn, you'll damage the trencher. It's not made for that. It's made to make straight or very slight turn trenches. I'm pleased with the purchase. ... show more

  • Great implement
this item did exactly what I needed it to do. heavy duty. held up against some tough ground. I hooked it to the back of my side beside to loosen up some soil. I found the value to be there.
