This is by far the best water dispenser pump out there. We have tried several different brands and types after our $350 Brio water cooler/heater quit working. Funny how 6 months out of warranty and all they say is “Sorry nothing we can do”. I like the idea of simplicity and this pump is just that. Super quiet, water comes out very fast like a faucet, battery life is awesome (charged when new been using for several months now and still not charged yet), easy to operate. I love the idea of the brushless pump submerged in the water which makes it quiet and smooth. Cost is a little more than others but worth every penny. I’m still going rounds with another brand trying to get fully refunded for their unit that started leaking after a month. This unit blows them away for performance, quietness, battery life and if you catch it on sale the price makes the value even better. Don’t waste your time with others Redsak is by far the best pump on the market for 5 gallon water bottles.

For almost 2 years, I had been using another brand of electronic water pump on my 5-gallon water jug. That brand of water pump technically worked fine…I guess. However, it had several downsides that became more and more annoying the longer I used it. It was unnecessarily loud when operating, it dispensed water wayyyyy too slow, it used outdated micro-USB charging (yet another cord to keep on hand), and the battery life (even when I first bought it) was much too short and required frequent charging. This brand of electronic water pump (by RedSack) has none of these downsides. It has a: - Near silent operation - Uses modern USB-C charging - Dispenses water quickly (i.e. fills up a large glass of water in just a few seconds) - Long battery life (after having it for 2 weeks now, I haven’t needed to charge it once). So, all in all, this water pump is a huge improvement on the previous brand of water pump I had been using. I’m very satisfied with this purchase. However… there is one BIG caveat that you NEED to know about before buying. In short, RedSack makes 2 slightly different versions of this same product. One of them has a huge design flaw that makes it basically unusable. The other one works fantastic. If you receive the first one, I highly recommend returning it and/or contacting RedSack to request the 2nd version with the improved design ([email protected]). Basically, with the first version, the plastic cap at the very end up the tube (attached to the metal “submersible pump”) constantly comes loose on its own. When this happens, it stops dispensing water. And retrieving the plastic cap from inside your water jug, reattaching it, and re-installing the pump is a huge hassle. The 2nd version does not have this issue. It utilizes an improved cap design which doesn’t come loose on its own and works fantastic. Please see the comparison photos I uploaded for reference. More Details: The first version is the one I originally received from Amazon. Within only 2-3 uses of the pump, it suddenly stopped working. It took me a while to figure out the cause. The tiny plastic transparent cap at the very end of the tube had come loose inside my water jug. The pump was still operating, the mini turbine inside the “submersible pump” still spun. But, for whatever reason, without this cap attached at the end, it wasn’t able to uptake water. This was super frustrating to deal with. First off, retrieving the tiny plastic cap from inside my water jug was a very inconvenient process. The opening to my 5-gallon jug was too narrow for my hands to fit inside. So instead, I had to pour out increasing amounts of water until eventually the cap came out along with some of the water. I thought maybe this was a one-time thing. I inserted the cap back into place and re-installed the pump on my water jug. But then it happened again almost immediately. Cap came loose, pump stopped dispensing water. I went through the process of retrieving the cap 2 more times before I realized, after closer inspection, that nothing was keeping this cap in place. It wasn’t a tight fit at all. It just loosely fit into its spot. And there was no physical mechanism keeping it there. Considering how vital this tiny piece of plastic is to the proper functioning of the pump…this was clearly a huge design flaw. I am not the first person to have this issue. Go to the reviews on this product and filter for 1 star reviews. There’s a review by another customer titled “Impeller cap fell off after first use, pump not functioning” that describes the exact same issue I had. So, I reached out to RedSack’s customer service and explained the issue. Even though it was a bit difficult to get into contact with the correct department*, they were ultimately very accommodating, apologetic, and gracious. They apologized for the issue and sent me a brand new pump for free (the 2nd version with the improved design). They sent me a tracking number for the shipment and periodically checked in with me to make sure it was received and worked properly. They also seemed to really value my experience and feedback. (*Note: The correct contact info for RedSack is [email protected]. Do not contact [email protected] or the WhatsApp number listed on their website - redsackofficial.com - because they either won’t respond or will re-direct you to a different department). So….I’m very happy with the 2nd version of this water pump that I received from RedSack…but be warned!

After 3 months of use, I've noticed there's speckles of some oily substance after the water is dispensed. I can't get a good photo of it but there's no color, just oily and little strands of what looks like fluff. Doesn't make sense, right? Flushed the whole thing out with dish soap and warm water, it's clear for a few uses and then the substance reappears. Have done this cleaning process a few times now and it always comes back. No, it's not from my water source, as when poured directly from the 5 gallon jug, the water is free of impurities. The pump is, of course, outside of the return window at this point so there's $50 down the drain. I actually have no idea how long this oily substance has been leaking into the water because it's usually dispensed straight into my kettle or thermos. While it was new, the pump was excellent in terms of speed and how quiet it was when being used. The charge also held for a long time and didn't take long to recharge. There's no other physical malfunctions so far either. I'd recommend everyone who has already bought it to check their water purity.

After years of using cheap, noisy pumps that drowned out the TV every time someone filled a glass, switching to this one feels like a small miracle. It’s pricier than the usual options, but the speed, the strong flow, and the almost silent operation make it completely worth it. It fills cups and bottles in seconds, and the quiet is unbelievable. I even packed it with me on an international trip because I’ve gotten so used to the convenience. The tip of the tube came off while I was washing it, which was likely my fault, and the seller responded right away with a fix. Overall, fast, quiet, reliable. A great upgrade.
