I bought my first HexClad, a 9" frying pan and loved it. I came back in to buy this 13" Griddle... have now used it and love it also! I have decided to replace all my frying pans to HexClad. The pans cook food very well and even, and the clean up is a dream. I will be coming back to replace all my frying pans, one piece at a time, but I will be coming back! ... show more

This was a Christmas present ordered for me. I had my eye in it for over a year. I like it better that my cast iron one and my another that I have but it did warp some after I used it after the 3rd time. I made sure to change from front to back on my cooktop each use. It seem to stick a bit towards the middle and I try to be extra deliberate there when cleaning. I use it, handwash and dry, place it in the black bag, and then back I the box to store it. I really hope it doesn't come continue to warp further. ... show more

    • This felt like a serious pan upgrade. I am spoiled now.

I figured.. well Gordan Ramsay is saying these are good, so it is worth a shot. I had bought several of the "Always Pans" on similar promises. With each new line of those, they are lighter and scratch more easily. I'll miss my pretty pink pans, but I want pans that WORK without me having to be on eggshells. These Hexclad pull their weight. Having a hexclad pan and a gas stove makes me feel like some kind of professional chef every time I cook. I will warn you, though, it took MUCH lower heat settings than I had been using. My cooking times decreased drastically. I can use whatever utensils I need, metal, wood, plastic.. etc. Also, the lids are safe to grab even when using them on pans on the burners. I don't put any of my Hexclad in the dishwasher. ... show more

This griddle heats evenly and cooks wonderfully. One drawback is the metal surround which requires special cleaning as it accumulates cooked on oil even at medium heat. I had to use dawn with light pressure on a magic sponge, being very careful not to touch the other finish. This is not a problem with the fry pans or wok, as the metal lip is further from the heat source and the unbonded edge is on the outside of the pan, not the cooking surface (see photos). It’s not a deal breaker for me as I hand wash my hexclads anyway, but ads a step for the griddle. ... show more
