I'm not an enormously tech-savvy person, and I don't need bleeding-edge tech. What I did need was a new desktop computer, the old one, another iMac, was thirteen years old and had seen better days. While adequate, it had issues. I didn't have 1500 for a brand-new machine, nor did I want to spend that much even if I had it. However, you pay for quality. This is a fact. Macs are quality machines. I have had very few issues with mine over the past 25 years, so I was NOT in the market for a PC. What to do? Well, I recently purchased a great tool through the Amazon Renewed program, and it was awesome! So, I thought to try a renewed M1 iMac. The M1 machines are more than powerful enough for me, and the software will be supported for quite a while. I found a silver 2021 iMac for a very reasonable price point, almost half the price of a new one, and I ordered it. Would my gamble pay off? It did. When the machine came in, it came with a power cord, which it should have. Included was an off-make, adequate wireless keyboard, and mouse, but I didn't use them because I had my old and perfectly serviceable Apple units. There were no instructions, but you don't need them, anyway. If you can find the power button, the computer walks you through the process. The iMac was loaded with Sonoma 14.5, see picture, and it was like new. No blemishes, and no glitches. Setting it up was easy as pie. The only issue I had was getting my Apple keyboard and mouse to pair—this could have been due to their age. They are at least ten years old but still work. Something tells me that if I had used the provided set, there would have been no problems. Well, when my original Apple stuff dies, I'll unbox the aftermarket stuff and use them. For now, my old stuff works. This is a great machine, and Amazon Renewed once again provided value for dollars spent. This iMac acts and looks like a brand-new unit, and my pocketbook isn't crying. You get all the new-gen features without the new-gen price. What's not to love? If you must have cutting edge, go ahead. Buy a new unit. I don't need cutting-edge. I need something that will do ten years of service. This has that potential. Recommend. ... show more

I received the item and love it so far! It’s a great computer with a really nice color. It came with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, which is a nice bonus. Everything is working well, and there were no signs of damage. The packaging was secure, and the shipping was fast.

Excellent product. Works like new. No scratches or dents nor any misperceptions. Smooth setup and is fast. The third party Macally keyboard and mouse are excellent choice, very compatible, super sleek and great quality. Silver as well so it matches the iMac.

I only gave this 4 stars because it did not come with an original Apple Keyboard nor mouse. It did come with "matching" keyboard (w/number pad) and mouse...both wired...but that is not how it was originally sold. Obviously the supplier found they could make more money by selling off the original keyboard/mouse as separate items. But that is not the main point, is it? How about the computer, itself. Better news...as far as I can tell, the computer arrived in mint condition and started up as if it were a brand new Apple product (same procedure). Initially, I was shocked that the keyboard/mouse were USB-A and the four computer inputs were USB-C...so how was I to plug them in? Well, separate from everything else and floating in the bottom of the box was a small bubble-pack envelope with two USB-A to C adapters. Problem solved...the computer started up beautifully and I am totally satisfied (except for the change-out of the keyboard/mouse as explained). Actually, I don't think the computer was intended to have wired keyboard/mouse otherwise there would be more than four inputs. The computer looks and runs like brand new. Mine is the 8 core (which is a heqq of a deal) with four USB-C inputs, 8Gb RAM, and 256 Gb SSD. Actually, the latter is not a problem because all my "data' (which includes documents and media) is stored either in iCloud or on an external drive....which, for me, makes starting up a new computer much easier since none of that has to be ported over to the new computer. Apple computers comes with a lot of native Apple software (almost all of which I use), but I also have a list of 25 other Apps (many from the App Store) that I use in addition to the standard apps...so getting them loaded takes a while. The design of this iMac (compared to my first in 2004) is a marvelous technical work of art (one of John Ive's last projects?). My 2004 weighed about 30 lbs and this one weighs 10...and is much more powerful. It runs almost cold. The Apple Silicon integrates it all into a smooth running whole that really does "just work." So I am a happy customer. PS: I use an external USB dock which gives me all the inputs I need. Also, due to the power of the M1 processor, those extra ports all work as if they were built in. The USB dock is not powered separately but from the USB-C input. PS: I tried to add AppleCare and Apple reported the machine as ineligible. I needed to replace my aging iMac but I really did not want to spend the money for a new one as I’m not on the computer as much anymore. I looked around and decided to buy one from this seller. The shipping was fast and tracked all the way. The computer was packed very well, no damage during shipping. The computer and all the accessories were in an original box, just like I had purchased a brand new computer. The new computer looked great as did all the accessories, could not tell it was refurbished. The setup was a breeze, the computer is faster than the old one, as of now there are no issues.
