The media could not be loaded. This is a nice looking lightweight hose that so far has been durable. It is flexible, but we'll still keep if you are pulling it a direction different than it is naturally laying. The hose itself has not been a leakage issue, however I have leaking at the spicket.

    • Standard rubber hose, with nozzle

This appears to be a standard rubber hose, although the fittings at each end are indeed heavy duty brass (so they won't rust). The fittings are covered by rubber sleeves, as you can see in the seller's pictures; these make it easy to grip and tighten the brass fittings without hurting your hands. There's a rubber gasket in the female end; my experience is that it's wise to replace this every year. Replacement gaskets are standard sized and cheap. The hose itself is slightly oval in cross section, which makes it a little easier to hang it straight on a hose reel (as you're coiling it, give it a half twist every turn around the reel--it should be obvious which direction to twist it). The nozzle looks sturdy, although like any nozzle, if you drop it on concrete it may eventually start leaking. (So don't drop it...) The on/off/volume lever is smaller than I've seen on most nozzles, so you may need to look at it when adjusting it. Shouldn't be a problem, though. The labels for spray type (cone/ full/ sprinkle etc.) are actually legible, unlike the labels on some nozzles--my old eyes appreciate that. ... show more

    • Nice hose and nicer water gun

This hose is short, but it is well made. The fittings are easy to connect and disconnect with ergonomic coverings and brass hardware. I got this hose to use in my basement anyway. I got it to fill an ice bath which is only 15 feet away from my laundry tub. I hadn't even noticed that the water gun came with it but it's really nice. It has every setting you could want and rotates all the way so you don't have to go back through the other settings to get back to what you want. It also has a separate switch on it to stop water flow. The only bad thing was the packaging. It comes just wrapped in plastic on a few places in a bag and the water gun wasn't secured at all. I just opened the bag a little roughly, like I usually do, and the water gun bounced off the floor. Luckily it is hard and didn't break so no points deducted for that. Overall I like it and it does what I need and more. ... show more

This hose is nice and flexible, this also makes it pretty easy to kink. The description states no kinking when extended but that’s pretty much how any hose works, if there is some slack and you pull it can kink if there is any twist. I’d rate it average for kinking. As for flow rate, it is restricted due to the ends, see the photos. The hole is much smaller than the diameter of the hose so you cannot get full use of it. The connectors are nice and seem to be good quality. The sprayer is a mix of plastic and metal, nothing special. Overall this is an average quality product. ... show more

I mean, it's a hose. But it hasn't kinked yet, as it seems nice and sturdy. The hose grip things have been quite frustrating on other hoses, especially the steel ones I've been getting, but this one is GREAT! The grips do not screw away from the hose end, so I can actually screw and unscrew the hose end, even if on really tight. With most hose end grippers, they unscrew from the hose end, which defeats the purpose of having the big grippers on there. I am very pleased with the way this is built. ... show more

There is a spectrum of Garden hoses ranging from the extremely durable and cumbersome ones down to the much less durable expanding ones that shrink up when they are not under pressure and expand to lengthen when they are. This This one is at the heavy and durable but cumbersome end of the spectrum. What I like about it is that it is rated for 150 psi and it looks like it with a thick rubberized hose and a durable interior liner and solid rubber terminations at each end. It is called hybrid, which means that it has a male connector at one end and a female connector at the other end. The female connector has a rubber sleeve over it for easy grasping and strain relief, and it rotates easily. The male and has a similar rubber sleeve for strain relief And easy grasping, but it does not rotate; a description, not a problem. I will not hesitate to use this in an application where it is under continuous pressure. It's solidness is reassuring. Five stars ... show more
