We have moderately hard water and over the years, its damaged our pipes and faucets and when we wash dishes, it leaves spots and stains. We also had itchy and dry skin and until recently never realized that this was also due to the hard water. A friend recommended the NG4L and after hearing how its benefited them, we ordered it and it took a plumber less than 30 mins to install. Ours is inside the garage since it only needs flushing out once every 6 months. From the moment we installed it we could see and feel the difference. Our water feels 'soft', showers are different, the water tastes and smells cleaner, there's zero spots or stains after dishwasher cycles, our skin is no longer dry or itchy. We 100% recommend this product. It pays for itself by protecting you and your home and it is by far the simplest and most effective way to eliminate hard water.

This saltless water filtration is superior to my salted old water softener. Not only does this water softener soften the hardest water that we have into Crystal clear drinking water. Our house is now fully filtrated and this unit is the best. There was however a broken part, the ball valve on the bottom, they sent one out the same day after I advised them of the issue. That is customer service and I really enjoy the fact that I didn't have to fight to get a part. I have already recommended this to several of my family and friends. Also, if you're handy, you can install this yourself. You just need to know how to sweat pipes, solder them, and know how to use a blowtorch, and the correct piping available to you. I also purchased the 8-month filter. The one that comes with the unit is a 6-month filter. All of the plumbers that I've asked said that these filters last a lot longer than what they're advertised for. The majority said that as soon as we get lower water pressure it's time to change the filter. I don't know if this seller can verify that or not. I know you're supposed to clean the mesh filter as well. I would imagine that would catch most of the lime scale and sediment. To clean The metal mesh, I would imagine we could just submerse it in CLR, and then do a thorough cleaning. Overall awesome experience and they have proves to me that customer service is Paramount to their product.

I went with this unit instead of a water softener slain e water is about 17-19 hardness from city water. Also I did not want salt system as I consider them overpriced for products I researched.

I was looking for something to protect my tankless water heater from mineral buildup and saw this unit. I liked the price and that is does not use salt. So far I am very happy. I noticed that when I took a shower my skin did not feel as dry. Also my dishwasher is staying cleaner and the dishes are coming out nicer. My water also tastes better. I would definitely recommend over the higher priced units.

It might work for mildly hard water situations but not hard water. I purchased the one for "Extra Hard" water because, I have extra hard water. It worked okay for 2 weeks then not at all. For the extreme purchase price and the expensive filter cartridges , I had MUCH greater expectations. I ended up going with the traditional salt based unit that far exceeded my expectations.

This did not reduce the hardness of my quite hard water, but I didn't expect it too. I was only trying to avoid spending $6k on a larger system like those sold by Culligan. The filter accumulated a brown sludge that didn't look healthy. It is easy to install and easy to replace the filter, but it didn't work for my situation.

I recently had the NG4 water filter installed, and I’m very happy with the results. The taste of my water has noticeably improved, and I can actually feel the difference on my skin and hair when I shower — everything feels softer and more refreshed. I was kinda skeptical, but decided to try it. After installing new piping and this filter, I immediately noticed a visual difference in the water, the way tap water tastes and the way it leaves my skin feeling/looking after a shower. With VERY hard water in my area, The water is now crystal clear, leaving no visible sediment. I can barely taste the difference between my tap water and the purified water that I buy. This makes up for the chore of needing to solder in new piping, well worth the effort.
