    • No smell!
This stuff is great. I can use a cat scooper to clean out the poop and it has zero dust and zero smell. I do a quick spot clean with the scooper every morning and it’s way easier to clean than straw. Keeps it odor free and dry. It’s a little smaller than pine or cedar flakes and it’s super easy to clean. I wasn’t sure if it would be any different for the coop, but it’s made a big difference. The straw I would fully clean every week and this stuff, with regular scooping, I bet would last a few months. So it’ll probably even out cost wise. My inside coop is 5x8 and I used maybe 1/3 of the bag at about 1-2” deep. ... show more

I purchased this item because I was unable to get the hemp bedding for my hens, I usual get. I will not purchase this item again! This was I think the second time and both times, my bags came in opened in box when I removed it from the box. So packaging needs improvement not to loose any. Plus. The hemp is chopped to large, I prefer it in smaller pieces so that the fe es/urine can ve better absorbed. It just sits on top of bedding. Hemp better is a better alternative to pine for their respiratory needs however, their is an odor with this bedding, not sure if due to being kiln dried? I won't purchase again. Otherwise, good price that's why I gave it three stars only! This product makes me have to clean coop more frequently for no odor, like every other day! I only have 16 hens, so that's crazy cleaning. ... show more

My chickens love this bedding. I love it because it stays dry and dries out their poops. Keeps the smell down and it’s easy to turn. It last 6-9 mos and is worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. After struggling with other types of bedding I found this amazing product. Hemp is the way! I add dried, chicken safe, flowers, and herbs from my garden which just adds a little fragrance. Good stuff Maynard. Highly recommend this product.

Love the product I have been using it for years. however I just received 5 of these today and each one was split open at a seem. Not the biggest deal but when your paying for the premium option you’d except it to come in better condition.
